Ive been saying it for months. This decision would ultimately be made by Leath, and I'm confident it was.
Rhoads will coach the WVU game.

One minute you're celebrating a win and the next you lost your job.
He'll be coaching the game against WVU, according to the press release. Seems.....strange.
If Leath is making these decisions, why are we paying JP to be the AD?
This can't be jp decision he I'd in record saying he was completely against firing mid season several times!!!!!

There will be a long list of coaches that will want this job, don't kid yourself.
There might not be any high profile names on the list, but that shouldn't surprise anyone. But there are a ton of great coaches out there that would love to make 2 million a year. JP and Leath just need to find the right fit.
I have a "suspicion" Pollard/Leath already has someone lined up. Happened after last week's loss, but cemented yesterday. Will be announced after last game of season so recruiting can take big advantage.
Im OK with that, although I think ISU is one of the only schools in the country who would do this.
Of course it isn't black and white. But coaches don't want to lose. No coach worth his salt, comes into a job saying, I can win 6 games a year a few times and keep my job for 7 years. Rhoads didn't think that---it's not like he's sitting over there counting his money and laughing at how he got his.
We can all pat ourselves on the back for being great fans and for upgrading our facilities so that they are comparable to other schools. And that's all good. But get off this board and read what other, non-biased football journalists are saying about the Iowa State job this morning. None of it is good.
I'm surprised that local tv has not reported this yet
jsb has about half of the comments in this thread and each one makes me want to shoe my fist through my laptop
