Too early to know for sure but I think we may have lucked out with Prohm given how late our search had to be, he had already turned down some offers that got there before ISU was able to make ours.

I can tell you that his sideline behavior with celebrating and not having the headset on coaching probably didn't sit well with pollard. You are not a def coordinator who can hug everyone- you are a head coach who has to make decisions. Someone may have been trying to tell him the clock situation but he couldn't hear it. He was acting like a fool when he needed composure. Snaggletooth was propped up like a statue the whole game. Always in control.
Why does that seem strange? He is willing to NOT give up on the players. That is a lot of respect he is showing to the kids and 'some' fans.

Yeah, boy it sure does seem to have major earmarks of Leath stepping in and telling Pollard to pack up this goat rodeo and move it on out. That was my thought too. After yesterday's debacle and the gaffes at Toledo and versus OSU on senior night, I think it was deserved. I get the sense that Pollard wanted to give Rhoads as much rope as he could and Paul hanged himself with it.

This is how a lot o things happen in the real world. Leath cant run the University and the AD at the same time (obviously), but he has every authority to tell JP he needs to make changes as he sees fit.

Right but JP has set the precedent...it's already in stone. ISU isn't a typical P5 job where u get 2-3 years to turn things around. That's what is appealing...amongst other things for the right guy. This program is night and day where it was even 7 years ago.
We aren't going to hire some big name P5 current HC...I'm not sure I'd want it as that guy Has prob not done well recently. It will either be a current mid major HC or an offensive coordinator. I think Pollard has prob had his fill of DCs.
