I doubt he really cancelled the interviews that would be so stupid, everyine knows you don't do that until you made a deal and shook hands.

I appreciate your effort and all, but like you said you come across as bitter and negative sometimes. Obviously it is hard to be a better person, but it is something that might help.

And I just think that comes with the territory. You like to have inside information and share it. I love that you do. But not everyone is going to love what you share. Not everyone is going to believe everything you share. The vast majority of people on here appreciate what you share and believe you. I'm not sure why that isn't enough.

We rarely agree on anything but I have no ill will toward you, and to be honest, hadn't looked at usernames much at all in this thread. My comment wasn't for those posting in the thread, but rather the silent trolls that feel eager to send me crap directly.
Surprised that Pollard would go as far as to cancel interviews without something in writing. I understand our confidence in being able to outbid Toledo, but that strategy doea not account for the numerous other coaching vacancies...several of which are better jobs with bigger money. You have to count on Campbell using an offer this early as leverage and leaking info is the best way to do it.
And you've also said in every post that he claims a percentage he can't back up, and essentially, he's a whiner. So yeah, you're totes supportive of him. Like a spouse who constantly belittles their spouse so that they know what's wrong with themselves and can change it...supportive like.

Being a life long Cyclone fan, why do I get the feeling this coaching search isn't going to end well?

And we'll settle for Leipold because we can pay him 1 million a year and save tons of money, and we'll continue to win 2 or 3 games a year playing with FCS talent on our team that Leipold will recruit.

Once people get wind you've settled on somebody THEY cancel the interviews. Don't want to look too eager to leave if they wind up back at the same place. Happens with candidates in every coach search, I bet.

It would be easier if you just went into mod-rage and banned the tool. He's been nothing but a pain in everyone's arse ever since word came down that Rhoads was fired.
Keep interviewing, find someone better, if you don't and they miscalculated on Mizzou you get him on the back end. It ain't personal, don't get upset, do what is best for the program. If he ends up getting Mizzou good luck to him.
Or maybe he's comfortable with other guys they've already interviewed. Or got a better candidate scheduled for when he was going to meet these other guys. There's several different things that can play a roll in it..
If I were a sociopath, I would run a coach search firm and start some fan message boards. Then I'd watch, laugh and collect 10%.
