It just seems rare that a guy that was born and raised in Texas would leave the state for Ames, Iowa. Im sure swarms of Texas schools are coming after him hard. I would wet my pants if we got him though

SMU has limited scholarships so that may not work for them. TCU, Tech.... meh

Baylor, Texas, Okie State and maybe even OU would all seem like they would be interested assuming they have an open spot.

I'm sure his phone is ringing today.

I would move to the North Pole (not just because it's where Santa lives) to be a part of a winner! Why wouldn't he move from Texas to be with a winner?

I hope he thinks like you! We need to hit the transfer market hard for a big man or two and this guy seems ideal to fill one of those spots

Is this kid following TJ yet?

A quick search of ET most recent follows, he is following Kim Enlgish (Assistant at Tulsa), Rob Fulford (Assistant at Missouri), Tony Bland (Assistant at USC), and a basketball reporter for Scout from Illinois.

I would say if we were gonna get him we would have reached out already and he would be following one or more of TJ, Prohm, or Small if he was interested. Totally just spitballing though I have no actual knowledge of anything (in terms of this situation or anything in general).

Don't ever discount those southern mamas boys wanting to stay close to mama.

Rural U.S.A.
A second semester line up of:

1- Morris
2- M. Thomas
3- Burton
4- Malou
5- E. Thomas

With Cooke, Jackson, Long, Carter, Ernst and Young off the bench would make me feel pretty confident

Am I one of two or three people who remember that Nick Babb is on our team? He is still on the team isn't he? I feel like I'm on crazy pills.

The guy that played for Mizzou? I never cared much for him.

Yes, but some whispers that he is underperforming. I could be wrong though.

This would be the great line up and I have just a good feeling Monte will be back next yr

Do they have any scholarships? I think they lost 3-4 due to their recruiting problem recently.
I would like to get a answer to this question too.

Get him in for the Big Four Classic like we did for Burton last year!

Agreed get him here the sooner the better! This is going to be a gritty tough game.

Do we have any scholarships to give for next season?
We don't have one per Halsted if Monte stays and naz gets his Medical (which I hope). I know we offered Ashton but might have to have him transfer out if a talented kid like this truly wants to come on board. I like Ashton but that would be needed.

Basketball is a business to an extent. If a guy can't work his way on the court, tough choices would need to be made. Tough call but if you want to stay on top, that doesn't happen when your bench is filled with role players.

Right, but you can't just remove a guy from scholarship mid-year in order to grab a transfer. You would have to essentially talk them into transferring at semester.

That's not to say that no one will walk on (McKay/Burton) for a semester, but if finances are important to him, it can be a big factor.

But they do have an open scholarship for next semester, right?
