We will see. Big 12 also isn't that good this year. The top three are really good but WVU is overrated. And Baylor isn't as good as they were last year. Texas is down, KState is down, TCU and OSU are bad. Tech is solid but not a tournament team. The only potential losses for KU are Baylor who they just destroyed, WVU, ISU and OU. I don't see them losing to Baylor. So that's three losses.
Same of for ISU and OU I believe too I think they will only drop about 3-5 games each. I don't see ISU dropping a game to a bad team this year. Especially if they can continue to improve their defense.

I'm sure you thought they would lose at Kansas State and at Okie State last year too. Road losses happen even if they shouldn't

That or simply having superior players and coaching.

Yeah, the players and coaches have to be MUCH better than KU, not just a little better or you lose to KU.

The only time we were to unseat KU's 8 men was when we went on a 5 game head to head winning streak and were much better than those KU teams. Slightly better isn't good enough.

Example in Ames 3 seasons ago ISU was about 3-5 points better than KU, that beats other teams but is an "L" against KU.

Why? They start two small guards and have a huge hole in their big next to Ellis. Selden has been terrific this year no doubt but his shooting % will come down.

I think two years ago KU was better with Embiid/Wiggins/Ellis and I think KU is basically the same team that lost 5 conference games last year

Continuing with this logic, ISU is basically the same team that lost 6 conference games last year. OU is basically the same team that lost 6 conference games last year. KU loses 5, but finishes first again.

12 straight!

I think ISU is going to lose at least 4 games, probably 5. I don't think ISU will drop one to a bottom team like they did last year with Tech so that gets them down to 5

We aren't even the same team that started this season. We're completely different from what we were last year.

What if KU doesn't get at the end of a game like last year in Morgantown when Staten took four steps on his way to scoring the game winning basket? That would get KU down to four. Maybe that game happened Monday night when they nearly got screwed by two bad calls in the last minute of regulation.

There's a pretty big difference on saying what you could have done differently to win a game than me saying I don't think ISU will lose to a bottom feeder this year.

It's not like I said "If Georges hits that game winner in Waco or if he doesn't turn it over in Manattan we're down to 4". All I said is I don't think ISU loses on the road to a bad team this year

There are actually some interestng similarities to the KU-ISU game three years ago and the OU-KU game Monday night. In both games the home team got away with blatant goal tending. At the end of regulation there was a bad no call (Johnson charge/Mason hit to the head) followed by a call that was correct (Niang reach/Lucas over the back) but that wouldn't have occurred if play had been called correctly in the beginning.

The difference of course was that the home team on Monday night didn't go in the tank.

I watched PTI on Tuesday and didn't see any mention of this bad no call from Monday night. I actually didn't hear anyone talk about it at all

Where's the apology letter?

Maybe if Mason didn't flail wildly on every freaking layup he would have gotten that call.

So you think if OU makes that free throw and wins KU gets an apology letter?

Guess we'll never know for sure but KU wouldn't have thrown the hissy fit that ISU threw. There is also the aspect of public perception. Nobody gets worked up when the dominant team gets bad breaks. The media will jump in when there is the perception (whether it's reality or not) that the little guy got screwed.

KU will never get an apology letter because the media will never make a big deal over KU getting screwed. No one wants to read about the bully getting screwed. They only want to rail when the little guy get screwed going up against the bully. The people that cheer against Kansas far outnumber the people that cheer FOR Kansas. Click bait stories are created only for that audience.

You realize you're known as Boo U right? KU fans are the worst when it comes to whining about calls. You're still bringing up a guy getting bumped in the head going for a layup when the same guy admitted he cheated in OT

If it was a "lesser" team who was the victim of it against Kansas then it would be playing on an endless loop at ESPN.
