I assume you are adding in the meaningless Big 12 tourney, correct?

I'm adding all games played vs. conference opponents. So conference tournament games, games where teams had to go into Phog Allen and play 5 vs. 8, mind boggling ISU road loses, silly to predict games that KU lost, and games played in a HS school gym in Dallas were all included.

Don't forget ISU home losses. Those happen too.

The middle of the Big 12 last year was Baylor, West Virginia, Okie State, Texas and Kansas State. Baylor seems to be as good or better than last year. West Virginia is better than last year. Okie State is worse than last year and Texas is the same or marginally better. And the bottom from last year had Texas Tech, who is MUCH better this year than last year and TCU who is just as bad this year as last year.
As of right now, I don't see how Baylor and Texas are better.

I think you just have an inflated idea of how good they were last year is all. Texas was so bad they got their coach fired and Baylor was wildly inconsistent.

Last year Baylor was ranked every week from Dec 22nd until the end of the year and was a 3 seed in the NCAA tournament. You think Baylor is going to be a 3 seed or better this year?

Um, Texas made the tourney last year. Neither are as good this year. I didn't say they were great last year. Baylor was pretty solid though

Who knows. Hard to predict how the rest of the teams ranked nationally in the 12-30 range will do. Kentucky just got punked @LSU, Marquette won @ #8 Providence and #23 UConn just lost at home to a mediocre Temple team. Nothing would really surprise me this year in that part of the rankings. Baylor will have more opportunities for big wins than the majority of teams fighting for similar seeds. Do we really think they'll go 0-6 against KU, OU and ISU?

Texas isn't as good right now without Ridley, but they have looked ok. Shaka will have them playing well at the end of the year.

Baylor? Not as good. West Virginia is probably better than last year, too.

Well at this point Baylor has shown me nothing that will make me think they are at least a 3 seed and maybe better than that

I think ISU is going to lose at least 4 games, probably 5. I don't think ISU will drop one to a bottom team like they did last year with Tech so that gets them down to 5

4 or 5? Quite frankly, with a long grind and a 6 1/2 player rotation, and no Naz, I'd take that now. If it's better, than it will be even more fun.

I just looked at last year's bracket... last year's three seeds included 8 loss ISU, 9 loss Baylor and 10 loss Oklahoma. It's not crazy at all to think that if Baylor, who was 10-2 in non-con, can go 9-7 in the Big 12 (I don't think anyone would call that unrealistic) that they might earn a #3 seed. Winning Big 12 games gets lots of respect on Selection Sunday apparently.

Guess we'll never know for sure but KU wouldn't have thrown the hissy fit that ISU threw. There is also the aspect of public perception. Nobody gets worked up when the dominant team gets bad breaks. The media will jump in when there is the perception (whether it's reality or not) that the little guy got screwed.

Dude, you're hilarious! KU fans are whining and crying about the no-call and KU won.
Thus proving one can win and still be butt-hurt.
