Alright, we all have them...things that people say or jokes that are made all the time on here that make you absolutely bonkers. To kick this off, here's mine:
1) In before... - We get it, you're pointing out what some buffoon will inevitably say upon entering the thread. What you don't realize, though, is that this overused tactic has now exceeded the buffoonery of whatever thing the buffoon was going to say. Stop.
2) *** OFFICIAL ___(thread name)___ *** - Just, why? Not once have I opened a thread here and thought "well, I'm not sure how legitimate this is because it doesn't have the 'distinctive' three stars and all-caps OFFICIAL ahead of it." Plus, who gets to decide what's "official" and not? If anyone can start an "official" thread, doesn't that make it unofficial?
3) Cheap (and high quality) - "hahaha, someone said 'cheap' and you chimed in with 'high quality' to perpetuate a years-old joke that's gone very, very stale! You so funny!"
4) Stars(z) and Offers(z) - like the cheap and high quality joke, I can only assume this is some very dated reference to something that was once said a long time ago on here. Maybe it's still funny to those of you who have developed your own superior player ratings scheme that doesn't utilize stars or track the offers a recruit has received, but to everyone else, it's just dumb.
5) CMC/CSP/CPR/CFH - Ignoring the fact that it's not challenging to fully spell a coach's name (Fred Hoiberg...see, easy), why in the world does the initialism need to include the letter C? We know Steve Prohm is a coach, and nobody's confusing coach Matt Campbell, on an Iowa State message board, with the guy who ran against Steve King in 2010. But, thanks for the reminder, I guess.
Okay, now everyone get off my lawn!
