How many teams from the Big 12 went to the Final Four last year?? I'll hang up and listen.

What does last year have to do with the Big 10 sucking this year? Wisconsin isn't even going to make the tournament this year

Niang was just padding his stats in the second half :jimlad:

He did attack 1 on 2 with 2 mins left up 10 and about 25 secs on the shot clock. Dumb basketball rewarded by getting the foul call. He's an intelligent player but that's just dumb.

Are you talking about him blowing by Wayne Selden, getting fouled and making the shot for a 3 point play?

Argentina won the 1986 FIFA World Cup. Clearly the Big 12 is therefore better than the B10 this year. Close thread.

Every year a Big Ten team finds a way. In the past 10 yrs Kansas is the only Big 12 team to make it to the final four and they have done it twice ('12, '08). 9 Big Ten teams have done it the past 10 yrs and it's been 4 different schools. There's only been 2 years a Big Ten team did not make it over that span. The Big Ten plays defense and defense equals wins when you get to the tournament. Defensive efficiency is what has gotten Wisconsin there several times over the years; same with Michigan St.

I don't know about blowing by, but that play yes. He attacked two defenders on a one man fast break. Why not pull that out and run the clock. It worked that time but it's not the right play 90% of the time. Prohm or any other coach would prefer to milk the clock there.

A small mercy could please even the most demanding follower of Freud.

Didn't matter if he got the foul call or not. He made the layup.

So you think the B1G is good this year?

3:57 mark. They try to pressure Niang at half court, he blows by Selden, makes the basket and gets fouled. What an idiot!

KenPom, the holy grail of Iowa fans, adjusted defense rankings:

Three Big 12 teams in the Top 25 (30%)
*#3 West Virginia
*#13 Oklahoma
*#22 Kansas State

Three Big 10 teams in the Top 25 (21%)
*#7 Purdue
*#14 Iowa
*#16 Maryland

Try again bud 2:02 left in the game. Maybe 3:57 on the video you posted.

Who cares? That was last year. Did a Big 10 team win the whole thing? In a 64 team tournament that really is the only thing that matters. Match ups and WHEN you play teams play a huge role in how many rounds you advance.

The advantage with the Big 10 is that there are 72 teams in the conference. You miss a few games against tough opponents and get rewarded with more dog-**** teams on your schedule. Then you get a higher seed in the tournament, which rewards you with easier match ups, games closer to home etc..etc....
