It's because he's the closer and wants the ball in his hands. Unlike your boy Mr. Ed who cowers over in the corner late in games (See second half of ISU game for reference).

When the games outcome is not in question? I get it that he wants the ball when the game is on the line. It appears that he wants to inflate his statistics.

Good Luck against KU.

I saw that three attempt as an attempt for the dagger.

Uthoff in the last 3 minutes of a tight game = Shelley Duvall in the last 30 minutes of the shining in every way.

I'd be curious to see how many of each player's points could be considered garbage time points. I've watched probably 10 ISU games this year and it seems Georges likes to have the ball at the end of games and doesn't pass to keep the clock going. Part of it is that he is a pretty good free throw shooter, but part of me thinks he wants that extra 4 pts.

Case in point; TCU last weekend. ISU up like 14 with 3 mins left and Georges gets the ball in the right corner with about 23 secs on the shot clock; he takes the 3 and misses. IA vs Rutgers Sunday; IA up 14 with about 3 mins to go and Uthoff has a wide open 3 in the left corner with about 20 secs on the shot clock and he passes it up to keep the clock going.

I think Georges is an intelligent player but that is just not a smart shot unless you are trying to tack on an easy basket. This is one example but if you think back to the end of games, he does this a lot. I know this will not go over well, but worth sharing I guess.

Part of it is because he is a good player and doesn't make many mistakes with the ball in his hand.

He has been the past 4-5 games. Kid is playing dynamite.

Basically his same PG play from last year but a 19ppg Big 12 scorer on top of it.

9 assists and 0 turnovers against Kansas. Shooting lights out and scoring at critical times.

I've thought Morris since early last season. He's an absolute stud. Best player in Iowa IMO. Niang second.

Uthoff is hot right now, but lets see if it lasts because up until the Iowa State game, he was basically a big *****.

Niang and Morris have been doing it going on three years now.

From the looks of it, pretty much every NBA scout.

Iowa fan values: fringe NBA cup of coffee players are the #1 thing in the universe

ISU fan values: NCAA wins, NCAA appearances, Big 12 tournament titles, soon to be 3 recent All Americans, 4-1 against KU in last 5, 6-1 against Iowa in last 7 (oh and having the same # of fringe cup of coffee NBA players anyway, 2)

To each his own I guess.

Morris is the best player in the state of Iowa right now.. He is going to set a collegiate record for assist to turnover ratio..
