I'd be curious to see how many of each player's points could be considered garbage time points. I've watched probably 10 ISU games this year and it seems Georges likes to have the ball at the end of games and doesn't pass to keep the clock going. Part of it is that he is a pretty good free throw shooter, but part of me thinks he wants that extra 4 pts.
Case in point; TCU last weekend. ISU up like 14 with 3 mins left and Georges gets the ball in the right corner with about 23 secs on the shot clock; he takes the 3 and misses. IA vs Rutgers Sunday; IA up 14 with about 3 mins to go and Uthoff has a wide open 3 in the left corner with about 20 secs on the shot clock and he passes it up to keep the clock going.
I think Georges is an intelligent player but that is just not a smart shot unless you are trying to tack on an easy basket. This is one example but if you think back to the end of games, he does this a lot. I know this will not go over well, but worth sharing I guess.
