Agree. This is key IMO. Cooke could easily see more minutes as well. And Carter has shown he can come in for a couple of minutes if need be. Nice win tonight.
Okay troll put your money where your mouth is. ISU finishes 10-8 or higher in the conference you owe me $700. If they don't I give you free tickets to the Big 12 tournament (all-sessions).
Hate me, but figure out what all you unrealistic BB fan's are going to put in the trophy shelf that you dusted off for the NCAA Championship trophy, or Big 12 trophy. Feel free to say "idiot" but the truth is you should be saying "realist". Season changing win tonight??? Who is the idiot?
This team has been a big disappointment and I was one looking to this year with more than we have seen. Maybe it was because of Naz, or further development of McCay, or bench would develop, or Fred didn't make that big a difference but the truth is, there isn't anyone in cyclone nation that would have predicted where we sit right now. So hate all you want but the truth is.....our best hope is they get really hot and run about 6-8 games In row between the big 12 tourney and the ncaa tourney to make this anything other than disappointing. Truth.

It tells me you are prob 19 years old and that's ok but I've watched 30 years of Isu bball and I can tell U the reason I said season changing is numerous reasons...losing with McKay coming back would continue to demoralize IMO....losing this game and you might be looking at a team that limps into the NCAA tourney a 6-7 seed who isn't playing all that well....lose this game and you are prob looking at a 6th place finish in the conference...but we won and a win like this against a team that has won 7 of its last 8 conference games and is one of the hotter teams in the country tells me this team has not packed it in and is ready to continue fighting...For you to say Texas was not a very good team is beyond idiotic..They are ranked and playing damn good basketball. The reason is said what I said was because I truly do believe had we lost this game the rest of the season may not have turned out nicely..I realize it's one game but it was one darn imortant game to win.
Seems to me your own expectations maybe were not in line..do you realize that this team is literally a few made baskets away from prob sitting in the top 10 right now and at least tied for 1st place..do you realize just how many last minute games we've barely lost? Not to mention we've beaten more top 25 and top 50 teams this yea r than 90% of teams. But the biggest problem and the reason for the way this season has gone is the loss of Naz Long. When u take away the teams bet outside shooter..the team's leader..and a guy that is money clutch down the stretch..you begin to realize just why we've lost some very close games we wouldn't have with him. Not a lot of teams lose one of their top players the entire year..some do..but most don't.
Wel I guess you are just really old and still hold out hope every year that somehow the pre-season hype is worth the belief. Have you checked out the schedule coming up?? Texas was ranked 24th. One notch ahead of witchita St who at 25th got beat by UNI at home (oh wait we lost to them too), and their #1 big guy is out hurt, and #2 guy was strapped with fouls. If this is what you think is season changing go for it. But with the schedule on the road we have we will be lucky to finish top half. I love the players on this team, but I can't like certain things. They are always close games.....if we are that good we should have some breathers. If you think that is what we had tonight---okay. I say right now top half of conference would be good. So have everyone say "idiot" which is just typical. I'm sure Campbell is going to finish in the top half next year and make a bowl game too. I say---"realist". You all say "idiot". So be it......
OMG?? Just a few shots here, a few shots there, and we are in first place?? Really??? Go figure......Only team in the country to lose games to a star player, miss a few shots, get bad calls, or have prayer shots go in. If we were that good, you play through that. Look at KU today. Bad calls down the stretch, down by 5 with under 3 minutes, and their best point guard fouled out.....AND they find a way to win. Please.....
