Hey Roch why would I bet against the clones? I am a fan believe it or not. I just get a bit tired in these rooms how I hear fans talk about how great we should be but we make excuses why we lose. So keep your $700 or whatever, I don't need the money or tickets and just say something worth while.

We had a deeper bench and I think it helped down the stretch. Texas was playing with a lot of confidence so it was a good win and hopefully we will start to gain our confidence back. Winning some road games would be season changing as it would help our confidence.

You are a juvenile troll who probably doesn't know a thing about this squad and the inner workings. You said that this team wouldn't finish above .500 and then I called you out on it. And of course in typical juvenile fashion you retreated like a little *****.

I don't know about season changing, but it is a good, solid win. Heck, it's better than solid. Texas is a tough team.

And that Tech loss doesn't look so bad now that they blew out Baylor. Of course, we have to deal with angry Baylor on Tuesday.

I'm not sure a home win over a team we were favored over is a season changing win. Good win, yes, but not season changing.

Now a win at Baylor, that is a different story. Let's hope they put another complete game together in Waco.

This team has been a big disappointment and I was one looking to this year with more than we have seen. Maybe it was because of Naz, or further development of McCay, or bench would develop, or Fred didn't make that big a difference but the truth is, there isn't anyone in cyclone nation that would have predicted where we sit right now. So hate all you want but the truth is.....our best hope is they get really hot and run about 6-8 games In row between the big 12 tourney and the ncaa tourney to make this anything other than disappointing. Truth.

I think all the preseason guys picked us basically right where we are. Fan expectations should largely be ignored on both the upside and the downside.

Wel I guess you are just really old and still hold out hope every year that somehow the pre-season hype is worth the belief. Have you checked out the schedule coming up?? Texas was ranked 24th. One notch ahead of witchita St who at 25th got beat by UNI at home (oh wait we lost to them too), and their #1 big guy is out hurt, and #2 guy was strapped with fouls. If this is what you think is season changing go for it. But with the schedule on the road we have we will be lucky to finish top half. I love the players on this team, but I can't like certain things. They are always close games.....if we are that good we should have some breathers. If you think that is what we had tonight---okay. I say right now top half of conference would be good. So have everyone say "idiot" which is just typical. I'm sure Campbell is going to finish in the top half next year and make a bowl game too. I say---"realist". You all say "idiot". So be it......

The weird thing is you use fundamentally sound sentences, basically grammatically correct and it seems you may have a modicum of schooling. So why are you such a huge db badly in need of a rinse?

First time as long as I can remember we played as a team.

Texas didn't shoot great from 3, they chucked something like 25 or 28 and only made 8...but they hit a 3 or and1 almost every time ISU got the lead to 8 or 9. I think the night we played Baylor and gave away the second half that team caves at those points and tonight they got tough.

I don't know what's going on but we've had well over a dozen Iowa trolls pretending to be ISU fans just this year. They're achieving the unthinkable of making TUCO and KU fans look classy.

That's your truth......not everyone shares your truth.

Did you know there is a quote button? It is a great feature that shows who you are responding to and lets people know you are not just joining a thread and yelling hyperbole.

I don't know about anyone else but I feel we actually showed toughness on the offensive side of the ball the last 5 minutes. The defense the last 5 minutes was something to be desired though. It was a 2 point game with 5 to go and I was thinking here we go again but our offense stayed the course.

I think that we won a game that we should have won. Most of the 7 losses still have me baffled. This team is really a top 5 team that has unexplained lapses at the end of games...

Clean up the defensive rebounding and ISU wins by 15-20. Seems like every time they gave up an offensive rebound UT would either hit a 3 or make a 3 point play. A lot of those were loose ball type rebounds too. Seemed like every loose ball bounced right to a UT player. I don't know that it was a season changing win, but it might have been a season changing loss.

if you think this team is a top 5 team without a 100% healthy naz then you don't know much about basketball.

Well we should feel really good then we held on for a 10 point win!!! This team is drifting more and more to "I need to get mine" and it will continue to show-----Abdul is going for his...Burton too, and less and less movement of ball, team play and a lot more 1x1 get me mine. I was not impressed tonight but it is a good win against a mediocre Texas team

Did you really "like" your own post?! C'mon man. Your screen name is almost convincing...

Unranked Indiana beat your hawkeyes and they're a legit team. Meanwhile, #24 texas is 4th in the B12 and winning 4 of last 5 (3 pt loss to OU) and they're mediocre?!
