Niang gravy...lol. That's some disturbing imagery. Hard to argue with the standings in a league that plays a true round robin. We lost to OSU too.

I hope you are right, and Prohm can sustain the ISU program at the level that Hoiberg brought it to. I would rather have ISU than Texas as our primary competitive rival in the league. You guys are passionate about basketball and it makes it more fun. Unfortunately, my suspicion is that this will be Prohm's best year at Iowa State. Just like Bruce Weber's first year at Kansas State was his best. Remember also that Bruce Weber's best year at Illinois was his first year, and Prohm's best year at Murray St. was his first year. Some coaches are better at running a team than they are at building a team. But we'll see. I hope I'm wrong.
I think Prohm was a really good hire and he'll bring in players that fit his system. He has a way of finding and developing point guards and that's always a good start. In the future I think you will see a team from the Cyclones that might not be as explosive offensively as Hoiberg's but better defensively. Hoiberg was a good coach but what exactly did he do that Prohm can't match?

The best part is only one team has something to lose. Great opportunity for ISU. I don't expect a win but I wouldn't be shocked if we did

What does KU have to lose? Big 12 Title already locked up. Number 1 seed in the Big Dance already locked up.

This game was supposed to have huge implications. Chances were high that ISU at the very least would be within a game of KU and have a chance to win the Big 12 in AFH. Instead they come in 4 games back hoping to avoid finishing 6th. The more things change the more they stay the same.

Kansas hasn't lost a senior night game since 1982, Perry Ellis' last home game, Self has never been swept by a Big 12 team, etc.

Can't argue with the string of won/shared titles KU has, obviously a great run.
KU owns the titles, but recently in head-to head, ISU has owned KU.
I'd prefer the titles, but it's always pleasant to splatter some humility on a top program like KU.

Iowa State has shot 38% from 3 on the year but shot 26% from 3 last night. Kansas has shot 43% from 3 on the year (crazy) but shot 68% from last night (also crazy). Law. Of. Averages. You're looking too deep into this or just trying to argue
So if KU shoots their average from three and gets zero 2nd chance points off the misses, they hit 7 threes in 16 tries instead of 11 and we "only" win by 18. Law of Averages and all. That will work just fine, I am not greedy.

Hoping for the regression to the mean, as well as more Matt Thomas dunks. Cap it off with Georges presenting a pink sports bra to Tuco.

Are you referring to ***hat fans that talk smack after securing a title and are recognized as tools conference wide?
Then yes, not much has changed.
(hint: additional snarky posts on others' boards just makes it worse)

You do realize I said if ISU dominated last night and shot well and KU played poorly I would feel worse about the game right? I hate playing a good team that just had a bad game or is coming off a loss

Niang has been wanting to win at AFH for 4 years now. Got robbed of a victory a couple years ago....they'll be ready.
"I just wanted to win here, man," Hield said. "As a kid, I grew up watching this place in the Bahamas. I always said I want to play there, or I want to win there. And I came up short. "I'll have to go through the rest of my life saying I never won at this place."

Pretty much every Kansas fan I've talked to in Lawrence or Kansas City has said the same which I really respect.
Most KU fans I know feel the same way. Texas fans simply do not care about basketball. Even the Texas area stars that went to the KU@UT game last night (Tony Romo & Jason Witten) were hanging out with the KU players after the game instead of the Texas team. And Witten is best friends with one of the UT assistant coaches. I'd much rather see ISU continue to build and be the team that is the consistent competition at the top of the Big 12.

Think you may have lost the opportunity to play the "chokes in the Tourney" card when ISU lost to a 14 seed last year.

Thanks brother, I bet lunch with a friend that I could get a thin skinned KU fan to respond before noon.
Like shooting fish in a barrel!

Honestly, are we suppose to care who wants to hand out towels in the KU locker room?
