Be better defensively?
Be a better rebounding team?
Will shoot and make more 3s next year?
Thoughts?

I would say yes to all 3, but we're going to need it to offset what we lose offensively with Niang.

Have a great backcourt. That's the only thing I'm certain of right now, however very excited to see Malou too

Defense and rebounding will be tough to improve with the frontcourt we will have. Should be a pretty solid 3 point shooting team.

Malou is the big ? mark. He'll be rusty at first but if he's the real deal ISU will get back into the tourney

Malou is going to be a game changer.

i think we finish with a similar record as this year with a conference that isn't as tough. 5 or 6 seed in tourney

Not to discredit Niang at all, but this has a lot of the same feeling as when Fizer left. There's still the ingredients to have a pretty darn good team. It'll be guard oriented for sure, but that's what Prohm had at Murray State as well so we know that he can coach it.

Here nor there
If we add a post-grad big man to go with Bowie, yes to all three. We could have a hell of a team next year, although no true game-changer like Georges.

I think more 3s. This team will reflect Hoiberg's team a few years back with McGee, Babb, Ejim, etc where we lived and died by the 3. They will be smaller but faster. I know we will all miss the bigs of the last two years (Niang obviously). But itll be fun watching a Hoiballesque team again. Live and die by the 3!

I know we wont be as good but itll be a fun team to watch I think. We'll still win a few we shouldnt and lose a few we shouldnt.

I see more of the Tyrus McGee type team next year. Monte needs to drive and dish a ton, Burton can can be a stretch player.

We need development out of Burton and Cooke, don't know what Malou will bring. Any transfers we can get in on?

I forgot about Bowie. Burton has shown the ability to play the 4 for stretches this year so with Bowie, Malou, and Ernst we might just be deeper on the front line thanumber this year. It will be nice to not have to play hands off D for the first half to avoid foul trouble.

Assuming Monte returns..this team will be a ton better than a lot outside of Isu think...Prohm has been raving about Babb on scout team..I think Ernst will be a big surprise. Kid is huge. This team will not be a worse rebounding team..by a long shot. We will play 8-9 guys a lot. We will also sign another big either a grad transfer or Dembele..bank it. This team will compete next year.
