I see more of the Tyrus McGee type team next year. Monte needs to drive and dish a ton, Burton can can be a stretch player.

We need development out of Burton and Cooke, don't know what Malou will bring. Any transfers we can get in on?

You guys are completely forgetting about Jackson the juco pg. kid can flat out play and drill the 3. He's also a heck of a defensive player.

Assuming Monte returns..this team will be a ton better than a lot outside of Isu think...Prohm has been raving about Babb on scout team..I think Ernst will be a big surprise. Kid is huge. This team will not be a worse rebounding team..by a long shot. We will play 8-9 guys a lot. We will also sign another big either a grad transfer or Dembele..bank it. This team will compete next year.

guy in the know on the pay boards says Ernst is a lock to transfer.

Next year's team will.....

1. have lower expectations to start the season
2. play better defense
3. play not quite as a good on offense
4. by the end of the season people will say that they overachieved

...have depth. We'll finally be able to foul on the inside instead of giving up easy baskets. May have to keep Malou out of foul trouble but the rest can hack away.

Burton zero rebounds tonight with extended minutes. He is offensively gifted, but might be too undisciplined to harness it.

Burton will never catch Niang in decision making. He can be a nice player for us, but it won't be fair to Burton to expect him to fill Niang's role.

Maybe with our outside shooters next year, things will really open up for Burton, Bowie and Malou even though they probably won't be as skilled as Niang.

Also, depth could help us a little next year on the defensive end. Rebounding scares me still, since we will probably be running with some pretty small line ups.

Getting a true post grad transfer would be a game changer though.

I think next year's team will be more fun to watch. Not because they'll need better in any facet, but just because the expectations won't be there. Instead of being disappointed in 8 point conference wins, I'm excited to just need happy to win.

Baylor lost Medford, Prince, Gaithers, and one more..TX lost Ibeh, holland, Ridley, Felix, ( and probably more), not sure either of those teams are any better off than us....

I would bet that people are going to vote us lower than we end up. I'll guess you are right about 5th, and I'd be freaking thrilled with that.
I think league will be tougher than people think. We certainly will have the best coaches of any conference as well.
