If capacity is 61,500, then this may be how it is currently itemized.

4000 for opponents
4000 for hillsides (2000 each)
13859 season tickets available
8000 students
31641 season tickets sold

Thus, we stand close to 40,000 season tickets sold to students and non-students. Not bad.

I don't think they will count any student tickets until they actually get on campus or can start buying them. So 30-32k season tickets sold appear about right for now.

Here's an article on WVU that shows there season ticket sales are also slowing slightly and they have only sold 25,500 at this time. https://westvirginia.n.rivals.com/n...ehind-mini-packages-ahead-of-last-year-s-pace

I think students have to order their all-sports tickets when they register for classes, so they are already ordered.

There are some really good seats still available in Sections G and U. Low rows in the upper deck. And multiple seats together.

Yea, I think returning students can order their all sports in April at some point. Freshmen get information about signing up for a lottery for all-sports, cy-pass, and season football tickets at orientation. Obviously since these are a lottery due to demand, they know how many they will sell.

After reading your post you seem like a pretty normal and rational human being. Are you SURE you are a Hawk fan???

Yeah I am Hawk fan first. First time I can recall attending an Iowa game would have been about when I was 9 years old in the late 1970s. Was against Michigan and we lost as expected. That was pre-Hayden Fry. In my younger years I was more "irrational" but aging and having a wife that went to ISU has tempered it a lot and I have sort of soured on the NFL and I just really like college football. I usually get into the ISU games more than my wife does. I'm not sure she could name more than one starter. On Iowa vs Iowa State game day I am all Iowa. We've attended that game for last 7 or 8 years whether in Iowa City or Ames. We had south end zone seats for the 3 OT game. A lot of Iowa fans just don't get the fact when it comes to a rival game like this, the intensity goes way up on the field. To me it is like a Big Ten game level intensity with the hitting and the mental aspects. That is why I do not favor Iowa dropping the game.

If there is so much talent, and coaching wasn't a problem, why did Rhoads only win 8 games in the last 3 years?

I'll answer that. He screwed up in recruiting very few jucos for a couple of years and it hurt him. He realized that two years ago. It was too late.

Oh and the talent is young or jucos. Sophomore running back can't help three years ago. Neither can young receiver. Neither can jucos like tucker and jones or the two dbacks.

Rhoads and staff new this year was the year their talent starting showing on the field. They all made those statements before last season. He would have continued the juco recruiting and I doubt we would see the dip like we did.

It was simply too late. The argument that there is no talent on this team is a joke. It's even a bigger joke because all these same fans thought we should have won at least 5 games last year with that talent. (Just subpar coaching remember)

Newsflash. The overwhelming majority of that talent returns.

Downing
Lazard
Warren
all on national watch lists.

When is the last time that has happened?

IMO, it was the blown half time leads and the failure to make adjustments that did CPR in. The K-State game and the Toledo game can be placed squarely on Rhoads. Epic failures as a Coach. It seemed he just did not have his head in the game making crucial decisions and we ended up losing. Great cheerleader on the sidelines though.

Listing a punter on a national watch list as proof of returning talent? You're slipping, D UP.

Al of the guys you mentioned were on the team last year. Why did they only win 3 games?

I was looking to see if there was any info on the website about tickets this morning, couldn't find anything but found some seats that I liked in the sw corner of the lower bowl. Ended up buying 2 season tickets there, the cost isn't bad, only like 35$ a ticket a game. These are the first season tickets I have had for Iowa State sports since I was a student, and I am really looking forward to it!

Sorry no more info on when single game or ticket packs will come on sale.

First post on the site. I am a Hawk fan first. Wife is an ISU grad and fan. I buy 2 season tickets to ISU games. Will be the second year of having them. The seats are in one of the new lower SW sections. Like the seats. Great view of the video board and when the teams are coming toward the south end zone just great close up view of the action. I do have season tickets to Iowa games also, so I go to those when Iowa is home and sometimes she goes with me if ISU not home, otherwise she goes to ISU game. We both go to ISU game when Iowa not at home. Pretty much have a college football game to go to all season long this way. Once it gets "cold", meaning below about 50 degrees, my wife is out. She does not like sitting in the cold, although we did go to the TCU game last fall and it got pretty chilly in the second half. She didn't go with me to the Iowa / Purdue game at home though when we got the 10 inches of snow and quite cold.

I also graduated from UNI and Iowa so have connections to all 3. Just like college football and yes, when Iowa plays ISU I am all Iowa and my wife is all ISU. When they are not playing we all want ISU to win. Lots of Iowa kids on the Iowa State team and I would be damned if I would want any team from Texas or Oklahoma or Kansas over a team with Iowa kids on it.
....

Sounds good but I hope you're not one of those guys that wears hok crap to Jack Trice when the Cyclones are not hosting Iowa.

Did anyone get the email from the credit union about sale tickets for the UNI game? They're selling them for $25 each instead of $65. Do they normally do that?

If they are selling UNI tix cheap I'm looking at trying to get a couple. If anyone has info I would appreciate it...trying to decide if I want to do the roadtrip twice this year...cheap tix would make that an easy decision.

Bump, for those who are season ticket purchasers. I just got two extra tickets for UNI. They seem to have improved the options vastly as you can pick your seat today and yesterday I couldn't get it to do anything but give me one section available.
