I think people wouldn't be as worried if they were really mistake about not knowing the offense. The last pick was just all around awful decision making independent of a new offense.
I've already agreed with you that the last INT was really bad.

Nobody is saying that. Nice reach. It's hard to deny though that he made multiple critical mistakes. Is it a mistake? Yes. Is it worth his starting spot? Absolutely not. If a dropped ball is worth a starting spot we better bench Lazard next time he drops a pass. We need to bench Warren if he fumbles again. Hell! Warren fumbled in a critical time in that game and no one is saying a word! Weird...
I don't know maybe we aren't really different then. I know I never leave games early but right after that pick I left and didn't stop walking at all until I got to Towers.I've already agreed with you that the last INT was really bad.

Before that I was all behind giving him time to continue to work on it and get better. I really just lost my hope after that one.
After watching J. Lanning's throws last year, this Spring, this Fall (so far), I think that it is accurate to say that approximately 50% of his throws are right on the money, and approximately 50% are not. In Saturday's game, some of his throws were "spot on" and the rest were short or simply off target. I am coming to doubt that that is good enough to win Big 12 games. Name me another starting QB in the Big 12 that throws the football like Lanning.
We'll see. Hopefully you're right I just lost my hope.I didn't leave until the game was over and most of that was because I didn't want to try and walk through a bunch of people pissed off. So I sat in my seat and let it clear out. I'm not happy about the outcome and I'm especially not happy with Joel's final 5 minutes. But I saw plenty of things in the first 3 1/2 quarters and the final 5 games last year that gave me hope that he was our guy and I'm not gonna let a really bad INT at the end of the game change that. Find me in 3 weeks, and if nothing has changed I'll gladly eat crow and welcome Park into the game.
Fumbled snap, easy fix.
Safety - OLine couldn't block anyone.
Miscommunication with Trevor Ryen on the first INT, easy fix.
Final INT was bad but it gets hectic during desperation time.
So overall, I would say the last INT was the only "inexcusable" turnover. Before the final 2 drives, he was 17-25 for 235 yards and 3 TDs. Don't forget the first 3 1/2 quarters when judging someones performance.
We should be better than last year and so should they, unfortunately we are not at this point. Too many mistakes. New coach new system and more youth than expected so more mistakes. They will get better. We need a QB that knows how to win an ugly game though.
I'm thinking closer to Bret Meyer.A bit off topic; when was the last time we've had a true quarterback? I know our offensive scheme has needed a running QB to run the zone read the past 7 years, but I don't remember being confident in any of our QB's passing abilities...Arnaud maybe the last one who could really manage a game?
He completed 55% of his passes last year and 65% of his passes in the first game. That's significant improvement albeit a small sample size. Deshaun Watson for Clemson only completed 55% of his passes in the first game. And a lot of other notable quarterbacks (Kizer for ND, and Buechele for Tex) were around 60% in their first game...
Fumbled snap easy fix yes, inexcusable also yes.
I can't see Park not getting a couple series against eiu this week if things look the same. You have to believe the job is still Lannings, but he will be on a short leash going forward.
Please tell me there aren't people out there that want Lanning benched after ONE game...
