So a couple things as a pilot.
1. They walked away. That is the first priority.
2. If his story is true it sounds like he may have been behind the plane to begin with or did not have much cross wind experience in the sr22.
3. Pretty sure this does qualify as a reportable incident.
4. That is relatively cheap.
It is all a cover up which does not make me happy. Not to mention the FAA and IRS will now come calling.
It seems like the author of that article has a personal problem with Leath.
Never been a Leath fan. We're really missing Geoffroy now. If Leath is canned, it certainly doesn't make us look good, but I'm all for it. The BOR won't do it, though - especially with the crap around Rastetter/Harreld and the fact they're in a presidential search at UNI right now.
I haven't looked into the Iowa situation, but what is really the problem with him? I feel like really people are just mad he isn't an academic. I don't think a non academic is a bad thing either. The problem is we would get someone like Herrald if leath left.
I know I'm in the minority but I think the regents preference to go with little academic expirenceid not a good one.
I wonder how much time he has had in the cirrus. It is a very different animal from what he likely trained in - Cessna 172. Those cirrus side-sticks are interesting things.
... makes ya' kind of wonder if he had few cocktails involved as well...nontheless = bad judgement from an expensive, supposed leader who needs **** canned. What a farce.Leath got a lot of crap for VEISHEA and Bubu, but the political crap, the political patronage jobs, and things like this that make him seem like he is playing a monarchist role bother me more. And I will never trust the Rat who is pulling his strings.
What else is he covering up?
