Egor's rebounding plus Juiston would be a nice upgrade on the boards.

Reload the backcourt the following year w/ Shayok and Moss plus Thompson upfront and the talent gap w/ KU is smaller than it's been in a long time.
That team would be bananas.

Prohm is just as good at going after transfers as Hoiberg.... Now can he close as good? Lets go baby.

Does Prohm's wife know about Mrs. Hoiberg's closing Sunday brunch? Fred may need to share those details.

Hopefully he knows the quality of women Hoiberg had lined up for them on Saturday night.... just kidding.... kind of.

I would think OU has the upper hand for Egor since a former Rice assistant is on staff but the amount of guys we lose could help. Can't imagine they will have both( him and Brown) visit on the same days

It seems we're an underdog for each of the grad transfers. Given we don't have a lot of prior connections it's impressive to get in on 3 or 4 big time grad transfers.

I think Egor might be better than Brown or Alstork. Thoughts?

I would put the want list order as 1) Egor 2) Alstork 3) Brown. I just think Egor is the best fit with Wigginton on the ball distributing to multiple three point shooting threats in D Jack, Egor and maybe Edwards. The 9 rebounds a game shows Egor can really hold his own down low as well.

Someone mentioned we are underdogs for these top dog grad transfers which is likely correct. Egor seems to be trending towards OU, Brown towards Oregon, and there has been a lot of buzz around Alstork and Michigan. Being Egor's last visit though is intriguing.

Way up there
So Hines tweeted that he (Egor) will visit April 21st. That is the same day as Brown. They couldn't possibly want to take both of them could they? Otherwise that visit situation could be a bit odd.

It's a long shot but if we somehow miss out on Juiston, any chance we throw everything at these guys, bring in two of them and play small again? Or a better question would be, where do we go if our only serious big offer goes elsewhere? Another sit out guy? Take a reach on a lower regarded grad kid?

We already have two bigs who can play now with Young and Lard, and another guy with high potential. That's not much different than the last 6 years. The staff feels good with Juiston, and ideally we get him but it's not the end of the world if we don't. But Garrison Brooks is another option.

I wonder if the staff has a hierarchy of wants, where things kind of fall into place once we get certain commits (or not)? As in, if guy A signs, we'll push for guy B rather than guy C, if that makes sense? I'd list my hierarchy, but I'm getting confused with all the names flying around.

I am sure each coach has a slight preference but I don't think that any of the prospects are such a staff favorite that they would slow play a commitment from one tomorrow and wait for one to make a decision among the guards.

Justion is the priority as the immediate post target and I think the reason why ISU hasn't been linked to other bigs in the immediate transfer market. I am sure they have a contingency play if Juiston doesn't commit and contacting players but we won't hear about those until Shakur's decision.

I think we grab someone if we miss on Juiston, but it won't be in the mold of the Holden. We have that in Kasongo. I guessing there are more, but Johnson, Brooks, and Thornton are known names (although Johnson is a longshot swingman and he along with Brooks are not backup recruits). Thornton is Bowie like imo.

And there will be more guys that become available that may be easier to get as programs fill up on the premium wave. For example, KU is in on Kanter, but will they have a spot open if he pulls out of the draft last minute? There are even the Armardi and Dillon Brooks summer surprises.
