Last of the fireworks noise now being replaced by thunder. Cool cause it is also raining out the last of the late night boom boom boys around the metro. Not as bad as Iowa of course since it's illegal here and that likely cuts down on it some. Ooh, and lightening do.

Not exactly sure.
No fireworks, planned to go to a small town that got rained out and pushed to Friday. Had a nice day hanging with the family. All three kids got along, rare these days so it definitely nw as a great day.

Now to find out how many HS kids did stupid stuff to make them ineligible for the rest of baseball or part of football. Told son around lunch that their season could be phenomenal this year if one kid finally keeps his rear clean. Son woke me up at 2 telling me that this kid couldn't make it through the fourth. Worst is, kid has had his 18th so this stupid crap will hang with him forever. May have lost a D1 scholly also.

Watched Full Metal Jacket for the first time today. I know the overall reviews for the movie were good, but I was disappointed in the movie at the end. Seemed like 3 different movies where they spent all the time doing the intro, then just hurry the ending. What am I missing?
Full Metal Jacket is like watching a couple of different movies. The boot camp portion seems to be what everyone remembers.

Yup. The reviews I saw when it came out complained about that very thing.

GR8 - I tried going over to that dent repair place you had recommended on Friday. The guy took one look and was like "you should go to a body shop instead." Evidently, based on his 2 minutes of looking at my car, it'd be easier to get a new hood and roof than to try fixing what is already there.

Full Metal Jacket: I have always thought it was like two movies, Part I Boot Camp and Part II Vietnam. Always liked both parts but initially liked Part I better. Over time I started to like Part II better, maybe because you can only watch the drill instructor so many times.

I guess if there are too many the cost of repair would outweigh the cost of replacing. Sorry

We should probably start weighing in on what color @55dB 's new car should be. She's got that new job and a messed up car so it's time.

I am thinking Nissen's Caspian Blue or Palatial Ruby.

The blue is pretty. My current car is only 2 years old though. I think it's more of a fix-it, than a total-it situation. It's silver and it's name Elsa :)
