Surprised that Kansas State didn't win by more honestly. They had way more former talent that us. Don't know if you should be bragging too much surly.
10 against 5 (plus 2). One or two more would have made the difference. :(
Still, it was a good time - and CyclONEnation had the best showing for all the out of staters except for Marquette (the #1 seed). Despite the program blurb that state "many K State fans are already making plans to be there", we only saw about 10 purple people there today. Their team definitely made up for the lack of fan noise with their jawing, though!

There were 2 teams of former Bradley players, plus a couple more from Indiana, so local teams had a large turnout.

No kidding. We lost by 11 pts to a KSU All Star team with almost nobody that would make the top 10 in ISU's All Star team. Maybe Stinson and Garrett would?

Still proud of the guys for fighting while severely undermanned to a loaded KSU team. Let's get Royce, Niang, and Tinsley or something and make this thing a complete ISU rout.

After being there and watching the two games after the Hilton Magic Legends game, I wish the other they were just as chippy (maybe the other games were, but I missed it). It was pretty entertaining watching former ISU jawing with the hoopville team.

We were up by the VIP lounge in the stools at that table. We tried sitting down below, but the seat design was not good on my back. Did you go over to Crusens on Saturday?

No, we stayed at the arena for the afternoon and continued to watch the games. I was trying to look for you since I think I have a vague idea what you look like but I didn't think I saw you in the stands. The VIP area was pretty cool with a nice view of the court, and would have been a great way to watch the games while munching on some snacks.

We watched half of the UW-M game then left for a while. They were staying at our hotel, and we had been visiting with them Friday night and Saturday morning. We came back for the later games, got there just before Marquette. We stayed for the UW-M vs OSU game today as well, then headed for home after it was over.

What we 'got now' doesn't cheat, doesn't act like a buffoon and has a championship banner. But to each his own.

What is the saying, "If you aren't cheating, you aren't trying."

Well, you definitely aren't trying with what you got now then

Thank God Bruce had Frank's players, just like Bruce having Bill's players at Illinois.
Bruce's B12 record since that year is 31-41.
Meanwhile Frank Martin just brought a nobody to a Final Four.

Yep, it's good those kids had an actual coach allowing them to reach their potential without being berated.

Wait are you saying you'd rather have Weber than Martin? Lol!
I did not like where K-State was at when Martin left. NCAA violations staring down the program. Player revolt. Under-performing squad. Rancor between coach, AD and many fans. Yes, it's better he left, and, presumably, got things straight at USCe. If all one cares about is winning, then Martin may have been better than Weber. That's to be determined.

His last 3 years were Elite 8, Second Round and Second round. Weber's last 3 years are losing record, 17-16 and first round loss

Like I said, if all you care about is winning, maybe, maybe Martin is your guy. He wasn't mine. The program was quickly falling apart. Read the piece I linked.

I know he's a pop culture sports hero of sorts. Much like Mangino in many ways.
