These are much better, probably the best ones I've seen. Simple yet attractive.saw this on facebook.
When I buy my next vehicle in a month, definitely want to switch to custom ISU plates. I had just an ISU license plate border and got pulled over on the interstate for it covering part of the county.
This makes me wonder why they didn't make it a crowd-sourced competition. It also makes me wonder if they intentionally released terrible ideas in hopes that it would inspire people to come up with better ideas so that they can actually end up using one of those.saw this on facebook.

I could be wrong but isn't a reason for front plates is because it provides a good surface for cops to point their radar guns at? I hope Iowa can drop the front plate.

Nice job guys! You made this poor lady cry!

I'm probably heartless, but this kinda made me chuckle. I'm sure she was "artistically hamstrung by law enforcement" but come on, these are bad. As a graphic designer, you should be able to do better.
Also - toughen up.
If this designer is going to be brought to tears from negative reaction to her designs, she'd better find another line of work.
I think it's one thing to be critical of the designs. If she can't handle it when someone says they don't like the designs, that's one thing. It's another when keyboard bullies start leveling unnecessary insults. Someone thinks it's a poorly done job? Fine. There's no need to be a **** about it.
But if you can't say mean **** about people you don't even know on the internet for no good reason, then why even have it?
I haven't chimed in yet but everyone pretty much echoed my thoughts. The new designs are pretty underwhelming. I get the constraints the designer faced but the new designs are not good. At this point, my useless vote would be to keep the current plates. They still look great even 20+ years later. Pretty clever to put a city skyline in the clouds of a farm.
