Beat Texas ---> Bowl
Lose Texas ---> No Bowl
This is kind of how I see it as well...

I guarantee Baylor will be much more improved when we play them late. I guarantee we will improve over the season as well but can we learn to hold onto leads late? I hope so, because I think this team is really special. Heck, if our secondary can take the next step I really like our chances at 6-6 at the least.

Yup, Baylor will be much better by the time we meet them. Plus this team has not beaten a Power five team yet. So we will see how they do against a rested and angry Texas team.

We will crush Baylor. No need to sweat that. We will beat Texas, TT, KU, Baylor. Very well could get to 7 or 8 wins by beating KSU and WVU but it's more likely we split those

Texas is bad compared to their talent, they are still better then us. On the road, they took a top 5 team to the brink. Tech is a toss up. Baylor will get better and their talent level is also much better. No way your beating WVU on the road. We always find a way to lose to KSU. We have not beaten a P5 Team yet and you think we will crush these teams.

We're through arguably 3 of our 4 easiest games. It's all up hill from here, but it can be done with this group.

Hard to think Baylor is going to be much improved. They are 0-3 against the soft part of their schedule. They might be looking at a 1 win season when ISU comes to town. For a team that is used to winning 8-9 games, well, things could be really ugly in the locker room before the ISU game.

the start to their Big 12 schedule is brutal:

OU
KSU
OSU
WVU
TX

In the last three games Park has not really been hurried up much, even with the Line giving him time, he has thrown it high or the receivers have dropped catchable balls. In the conference, he will be hurried every other play and we will have to see how he preforms.

Both teams Texas and Baylor have much better talent and speed compared to our guys, they just need to figure things out. We are playing Baylor in week 11, they will definitely have more experience by that time and it is a road game for us.

If we were playing Baylor in week four at home, Give me the Clones all day.

Not worried at all about that. The same could be said about almost every other QB and offense at this time- no QB is perfect on every throw.

Park will be fine. He's been good for awhile now. There's a reason why he was a highly sought after recruit in high school. I'm moderately concerned about our pass defense and the consistency of our rush offense, and some teams will run on us, but if we execute to our ability and get good bounces we have a chance to have a good year.

The only team's D-lines that scare me are OU's and UT's...

The rest of the league's are worse than Iowa's.

I don't understand the negativity. The league is down from what it normally is and we have a very solid team. We need to believe in this team.

It is a fact that Baylor and Texas have much better talent and speed compared to us. Both are first year Coaches on the Job and are figuring things out. They will be both better as the season progresses.

I'm not sure Rhule is the right fit at Baylor so who knows what they'll look like at the end of the season. Not every team improves as the season goes along.

But why the repeated posts? It's like you looked at 1976's overly optimistic posts and decided to be the pessimistic poster.

Or Baylor could get stomped all year long and by week 11 they have given up.

Honestly I think that's more likely. Gonna be really tough for them to get anything going IMO and I honestly see them at 1-11 or 0-12.
