The few times ive listened to Rome it was a bunch of burp and fart noises, along with annoying soundbites. I really hate that show. Good to hear Campbell got ISU some exposure though.

Agreed. He definitely plays up his schtick but he does a good interview and ISU getting anybody on there is good pub. I used to listen pretty regularly and enjoyed the show but a job change took it out of my routine. People can say what they want, but he's made millions talking about sports....seriously, could it get much better? My only problem with the guy is that I'm jealous as hell.

Yeah, I love Rome but I take it as he's doing a character. It cultivates the listener calls that he wants, which I for some reason think are really funny. Especially when he blasts them. Imo behind the dooshy veneer (which I find funny) are good takes and solid humor. But yeah, might not be a veneer at all. Cannot lie, I'm a fan.

Yeah he's definitely not for everyone, and I agree he has a shtick that works for a lot of people. He's a very good interviewer and most people in the industry seem to like him. I also love the annual smackoff and some of his long time callers. Adds another dynamic.
