We are gonna go if I’m not harvesting. I work for Pioneer so it’s not my call to work or not
People underestimate the draw of opening weekend of pheasant season as well as harvest. I know plenty of iSu fans who religiously hunt opening weekend and football has been so bad and hgas disappointed so many times they simply won't alter that tradition.
Good news is moisture was taken out of the forecast so farmers should have a great week of harvest after being handcuffed all fall. Bad news is farmers are behind and the colder weather will freak them out so they won't want to leave the fields
UmmmmmI don't think anyone is personally calling you lame if your life doesn't allow you to go to the game. If they are, that is not right. But I will be the first one to call our fan base lame if we cannot get 60,000 at this game when we sold out UNI and Iowa.
I would hope that we expanded our stadium to fill up huge Big 12 conference games like this one. And not non-conference games to an FBS and in-state rival. I hope the fan base proves me right this weekend.
Lame fans. Hopefully they’ll get it at some point.
UNI and Iowa are early season rivalry games that have had great weather, great tailgating and prior to harvest. Unfortunately, due to lack of success, people attend iSu games as much, if not more, for the tailgating.
No it won't. iSu could win and will still be tied with either OSU or WV.It's at 2:30. That is huge. Warmest time of the day and plenty of time to have a few adult beverages. I HATE the 11:00 am start times. Football should never be played in the morning. Never.
1st place outright will be determined by this game..... there is NO reason to stay home. Time to show CMC and the nation who we are!
Where are they and what are you asking?
No but saying it is ridiculous if we don't sell out, don't deserve Campbell, aren't a good fanabse, etc, etc, etc after the absolute ******* program we have been for the last 40 years is asinine. So basically we expanded our stadium for visiting fans? If that's true (I hope its not), we deserve all of the "Iowa is our Superbowl" jabs.
Ultimately, I think we'll push close to 60k tickets but if we cannot sell out this game - what game WILL we sellout that's not Iowa or UNI?
No ****!!! It is like fans don't pay attention to who sponsors just about every gameday event/ad/etcHarvest time pays for stadiums, facilities, and salaries. If there are a few empty seats, I understand.

Exactly. What is crazy is it was only 6 years ago when iSu beat Okie St and a lot of fans thought we had just turned the corner...only to lose out the rest of the year.I agree. I think it goes back to the discussion about changing the culture around the program. Obviously the players have bought in all the way, but they don't carry the baggage that most fans do. Like David Montgomery doesn't care about Troy Davis getting screwed out of the Heisman or whether or not Seneca was in (he was). KCM couldn't care less about the OU massacre or missed FGs that would have won a Big 12 North title.
I suspect there's a pretty good chunk of the fanbase still waiting for the other shoe to drop. They've just seen too much. They'll come around, but it'll take a little time.
Quick...who sponsors the limbo thingIf any advertisers are watching...All 60k of us look and listen to every ad.![]()
Actually if you look at the bolded that I quoted....NO ONE is saying the sky is falling because we've only sold 53,000 tickets. That's an average game for us. But THIS IS NOT AN AVERAGE GAME. This is arguably the biggest game at JTS in 15 years and we are struggling to top a typical UNI crowd. That should not happen.
The poster said he knows vocal fans that have never been to a game. Maybe they’ve bought tickets and gave them away, or maybe they just donate, and if so that’s a different case. But not all fans are good fans, and the worst are those that are critical yet don’t support the program. Don’t be so insecure. I assume many, if not most, on CF are better fans than me.I've been to nearly every home game for the last 17 years and I completely disagree. Staying home does not necessarily mean you are not a good fan. Everyone's circumstances are different. You just better not ***** about attendance or the crowd behavior in general if you aren't going to games.
I don’t disagree, and it will take time to get people like that back. I was one under CPR, and I fully admit to being lame in those instances. In reality, A lot of those fans have been repeatedly kicked in the nuts by iSu football. Unfortunately, it will take more than a good season to get them to change their traditions. It will take sustained success with spikes of great years.
I go to as many games as humanly possible but I don't begrudge fans who have come to iSu and finally moved on.
So basically we expanded our stadium for visiting fans? If that's true (I hope its not), we deserve all of the "Iowa is our Superbowl" jabs.

Nice try.So basically we expanded our stadium for visiting fans? If that's true (I hope its not), we deserve all of the "Iowa is our Superbowl" jabs.
