Its not a matter of an extra couple thousand people or not. Its that the biggest game in 15+ years isn't sold out yet... If we can't sell this game out then what are we doing as fans?
Easy. When we're a consistently good program, and gain new fans, to go with our already loyal base. Dare I say bandwagon fans.

Going to the ticket master site, there is still a lot left. Section H, which are good seats still has about 950 tickets left. The small section next to it none of them are sold. Were these two sections TCUs allotment?
Yes, H and J and 26 are visitors sections.

I mean it's pretty obvious this isn't like Rhoads. Campbell has this team playing well week in and week out. Rhoads also never started out 5-2. A Rhoads team would get a big win then take the next 2 weeks off by losing 68-27, 52-0 or whatever. I don't know how the casual fan can't see it.
Rhoads went bowling in his first year and had a better record at this point in his tenure than Campbell. There was a lot of excitement at that time and plenty of fans were talking about the program turning the corner.
I am glad Rhoads is gone but let's not pretend he didn't take a program that won 2 games to a winning season in his first year.

I think people have a pretty major misconception of attendance across CFB. In 2016 I count 29 P5 schools below ISU in attendance.

The fringe, fairweather and total bandwagon fans tend to be late to the party. Hardcore fanatics can see this is different, but fringe fans usually don't come out of the woodwork until it's a done deal.
Attendance trends in CFB are not positive. Team out east couldn't sell out the last home game to clinch a spot in the title game. Look at TCU, Tech, etc.

Has there ever been an explanation why ISU offers visitor sections in the lower bowl? Most schools put visitors up in a far corner; why don't we do the same?

Every visiting section I've been to has been lower bowl.

No doubt, and anyone who watches games should know this.....when they showed the Iowa State section in the OK and TT games, they were obviously lower level.

What late October/November games were we selling out under Rhoads? Especially at 61.5k. I'll hang out up and listen!
Again...you are ignoring the part I bolded and enlarged. I bolded it an enlarged it because that is what I was claiming he nailed.

Go back and read and let me know if it makes sense.
