The trend isn't very promising and most times CB's days before the announcement are correct. I will say that during Wigginton's commitment Oregon was trending the same way up to the day of the commitment so it can be misleading.

I would like THT to be a cyclone due to his versatility but having Shayok, Lewis, Griffen will limit his minutes somewhat early though I think he would earn minutes no mater the roster construction.

I could make a case for Tyler Harris being just as impactful of a recruit with the loss of D-Jax next year and the possibility of Lindell going pro in a couple of years. A future back court of Halliburton, Wigginton an Harris would be dynamic. If THT were to chose Illinois I would be just as happy with the staff reviving his recruitment it that is an option. I suspect it may be as we haven't much or new interests with his recruitment.

If Halsted gives a CB to Illinois, then it's time to worry. Although, he went with Oregon on Wigginton, I believe. I'm on the same thought line as most others, the CBs now are due to the timing of his announcement and his last visit. I think Jerry Meyer usually just tries to grab hints from beat writers and we all know how those squids are acting.

I can't tell if you're joking around or why he would go to Illinois bc of his mom.
Sounds silly doesn't it? But there is a comment his Mom may have given him advice. I don't have the link.

Getting parental advice is huge, and a valid factor. That makes sense and is consistent with the mature manner in which THT carries himself. Props to his mother.

Here is the latest word from THT on his recruiting. Spills more beans on where he wants to go:(

“The visit there was great. Illinois is home and just being able to go in there and play with a group of guys that I know is big. That would be really good. Being able to get the program back and with
Ayo Dosunmu
, showing that they can get the best guys in the state. It would give Illinois a bigger push to get the younger guys from the state, too.”

“Just being able to get along with everyone committed there and all the players is nice. I have been playing with

Tyrese Haliburton
from Wisconsin for the past few years and we talk a good amount. It is a great sell. They are pretty much the biggest school recruiting me since my sophomore year and it helps that I have a great relationship with them. They are just telling me I could be like
Georges Niang
, but a little more versatile and skilled coming in. Being able to do many things instead of just one thing is something that they are selling to me.”

Fit: It may be a step back sort of year in Ames compared to the past five or six seasons of great success but Steve Prohm has made sure to hit the recruiting trail running this summer and fall. The Cyclones already boast three Rivals150 commits, though Horton-Tucker would bring something different to the table. Just like Illinois, there is not a ton of wing talent on its roster but rather a good amount of face-up power forwards and hard-playing big men.

ISU remains in the hunt for a point guard this fall, but Horton-Tucker’s impressive playmaking abilities would enable him to be used on the ball in spurts, a role that would allow for current freshman guard

Hey, guys. Coming in piece. I'm disappointed you guys got Griffin and Conditt, and think you're going to have a solid team now and in the future. I'm not here to spam your board with pro-Illini stuff or dis ISU (I will take share in some of that Iowa hate though). I just want to say that the notion that there is no information out right now may be true on the ISU side, but we're hearing some positive things on our side.

Good luck in the recruitment. I'm sure we'll see each other in other recruitments soon.

Something to consider is that after he visited ISU, he said that he was "probably" going to visit Illinois. He's going out of state to play basketball. End of story.

Let’s say he commits to Illinois. Do we get another chance at him when their season goes down in flames and Underwood is implicated in the FBI recruiting investigation? If he doesn’t pick ISU I hope it is Illinois.

Thanks for that. I hope your team whoop the Hok asses with Ayo and THT(if he commits). Either way it is gonna be fun for both our teams.

There are positive rumors on our side too, but we'll see in a couple days.

Dear lord, my daughter is IN college and asks me for advice multiple times every week. I can't imagine an athlete not taking advice from a parent if there's a positive relationship at all.
