I’m glad to see that our biggest deficiency is defensive positioning which can be coached. We aren’t bad at defense due to athleticism. This team could get dangerous.

I haven't watched Iowa a ton - but I did catch bits and pieces (& a little more) leading up to this game - just so I'd have an idea of how they were playing. I can say, from what I had seen from the Hoks, that Pemsl played his best game - couldn't even tell it was the same person on the floor. My guess is that if he had not grown up in this state, his effort tonight would have been fairly pedestrian. I've never, ever seen him that determined and excited in a ball game. No wonder he had an exceptional game tonight.

This x100..Pemsl was exactly same way last year vs ISU..Guarantee u the next 2-3 Iowa games he is non existent.. Was arguably the best I’ve seen Iowa play this year mostly. They’ve had a lot of TO’s in every game so that was really no different.

Both teams didnt shoot that well from 3..This tells u how bad of a coach Fran is..Iowa had a clear front court height and bodies advantage and we forced Iowa to be a perimeter team it seemed. They got buckets inside but it was off second chance shots. I counted like 10-12 rebounds they got that just simply bounce long.

Not having Lard most of the game hurt our rebounding a lot. I’m not sure if Tally helps or hurts tonight but i think he would have provided more rebounding for sure.

LW is a stud...Stud.

Technically...no seniors means they aren't adding anyone. But I think they have senior(s).

Also, someone will transfer and open up a scholly.

They did have that one kid that left right before the season started. Id assume that opens up the elite PG MadFran will bring in.

I forgot about Williams. Uhl is also a senior, so 2 schollys for next season unless someone else transfers out. Weiskamp (spelling?) isn't a PG. so Fran must get one with the other scholly. Really needs to find a grad transfer, but I'm sure it will be a top 300 slow and unheralded freshman from the Midwest asked to make this a tourney team.

I believe they already signed a slow white 6-4 kid from Kentucky. They are full unless someone leaves (which is likely, I guess).

I'm pretty sure they think Conner McCaffrey is going to come in and run the point like BJ Armstrong.

Correct, Iowa is currently full on schollys right now. I don't see anyone transferring unless Fran tightens his rotation and we all know that isn't happening.

DELUSIONAL.

If they think a top 150 RS Freshman (i'm assuming he sits the rest of the year at this point) is their savior and answer at PG... Good Luck. I just don't see it working out.

And even if he plays this year, he will get tore up in the B1G. He is out of shape and way behind the freshman learning curve.
