So, if we have standard Mediacom in Ames with the sports pack, what will it cost to add the Longhorn Network?

Mediacom probably doesn't have access to the LHN to begin with.

So, is there a way to subscribe directly with the Longhorn network for online access?

I know it's an ESPN based channel.

ESPN recently rolled out ESPN+ where you can pay a monthly fee to access a bunch of sports.

Could possibly be on there? I don't know too much about ESPN+.

Texas did not choose to put this game on LHN, ESPN did.

We will get 40 million dollars from ESPN/Fox last year. Because of that, we give up the ability to choose game time and channel for all but one game. It's inconvenient, but its literally what we get paid for. Texas has nothing to do with this one. ESPN picked this game over OSU/WV and when they pick a game they can put it on any one of their networks. LHN is one of their networks. They could put Akron @ ISU on LHN if they so chose. They also do not have to allow Cyclones.tv to rebroadcast, but they have in the past. Your issues are with ESPN.

If you have satellite, you'll need to subscribe to whatever tier has LHN. If you have Mediacom cable, you can't just buy the game or something like that.

So didn't we decide a page or two ago that one could sign up for PS VUE streaming service and get the game that way? These are all month to month services, so as long as your internet can support a stream you should be able to get it anywhere.

Problem is the maui invitational is going on same time so radio guys wont be there
For the FB game and the BB tourney conflict last year John was at one and I believe Blum did PxP at the other. Years before it was often Fellingham filling in when John and Eric had a conflict between BB and FB.

It probably means Blum is going to get a really nice trip to Hawaii

Not likely. John and Eric will probably be on Maui for the tournament.

Just noticed that this will be Eric's 40th season behind the mic at Iowa State games.
Typically basketball gets the sub announcers when there is a conflict, but with it being in Maui Im sure John and Eric would rather be there. Im sure its not up to them, but I dont know for sure.

That would be my guess too.

Is there a chance of not seeing the bb tournament on Mediacom also?

I plan on attending this game in person. Anyone else planning on going?

For those of you who have been to this stadium before; what was the experience like? Tailgating? Parking? Is the view from the seats in the upper level decent, or should I splurge for the lower level?

What other conference programs have been forced onto the LHN? I think they only get to put one conference game per year on LHN, right? Has to be a home game, I would think. Has it just been us and KU relegated to LHN? Sorry if already answered in this thread.

If I manage to find the picture I took from back in 2012, I'll post it later but I think its lost in the abyss. We sat in about row 50 of 103 or so. Basically, we took an elevator up 11 stories, climbed a flight of stairs up another level, and then 50 rows up. Not particularly ideal. I was with family who are all UT fans. There were, however, a decent sized group of Clones fans about 10 rows back. Not many fans showed up, lots of empty seats. If you can find decently priced lower level then take them, otherwise, buy cheap and move down if possible.

Edit: Its also worth noting that, if I remember correctly, the aisles run down the center of the sections (at least the huge upper west stands) and the seats on one side are odd, while seats on other side are even.
