Why do people keep saying this? Is it because the Big 10 West is so mediocre outside of Wisconsin?

He was head coach of UCF for 2 years. UCF wasn't exactly a doormat of a program for 20 years before his arrival.

I was on vacation in Okoboji and saw a guy wearing a shirt that said (stacked) DEVANEY...OSBORNE...FROST

The meltdown when his record isn't any better than Pelini's is going to be fantastic.

Time to print up some "Curse of Frank Solich" shirts?

58-19 as Nebraska HC, finished in the top 10 three times, 2 time Big 12 coach of the year and 1 national championship appearance

.....and got fired.

**** Nebraska

FK them. they treated us like dirt demanding they get more money than the rest of the conference. Then they were butt hurt they could no longer take prop 48s. They left us and we were nearly without a home. They made their decision, they can die on the Big 10 west.

Why? There are plenty other “big events” in the state.
The Iowa State - Iowa game needs to be the biggest game in the state . Once we give that up you may never get it back. Iowa would love to relegate the game to something less important / meaningful.

Would love to see it. Nebraska and Iowa were by far our two biggest games - and would be again.
Oh, and we would have certainly left for the Big 10 too, if invited.
When the B12 was formed Nebraska didn’t want equal profit sharing but when they left they used the B1G’s profit sharing as a reason why.

I'm fully in support of Pollard but if he would agree to this I would be pissed. Nebraksa almost had Iowa State in the MAC conference if things went differently..let that sink in.

Not true let that sink in. Did Nebby **** us, yes to point. No more than Misery though Get a grip

Save your energy. Tornado Man and the other NU suckd*cks see some weird value in Nebraska. They see some rivalry that was never there apart from Lincoln being close to Ames. I'd love to hear Matt Campbell's off the record opinion. I think it'd be something like, "Nebraska?, why?".

So Nebraska wants their “Big” non-con game against ISU? Lol - how “Big Red” of them. You want to prove NU is back? Schedule OU, A&M or Texas.

100% on board with this, it'd be great to beat the Huskers again.

I'm sure there will be a lot of butthurt about realignment in this thread but non con games with some history and regional context would be great as a fan.
1. Yes, it would be a great game again with the history behind it...

I was thinking this exact same thing. ISU and Kansas State should take offense to this. Schedule OU, TX or TCU and ISU or KState.

It’s a veiled insult that ISU is an easy, P5 win to compliment an easy conference schedule. In their “wildest dreams” they want ISU and/or Kansas State as non-con football rivals? I wish I had a time machine to sell that idea to Nebraska fans in the 80s and 90s.
