Love the people "upset" that we got Incarnate Word. We aren't getting Nebraska or an ACC school to come up to Ames in Decemeber, and we don't want to lose a home game. There are really, only so many options out there where all parties are going to be okay with the terms. The larger the school the more difficult it becomes. Just be happy we got another game (and hopefully 'W') on the schedule, and the potential for it to help in our bowl chances come the end of the season.

Does Incarnate Word still get a paycheck if we play in the Big 12 Championship?

[edit] I suppose the most "Iowa State" thing that could happen would be: we qualify for the championship game, but have to forfeit in order to fulfill our previous obligation.

I think it means the athletic department knows we have no shot at making that game. But in case of a miracle or something I am sure we have a buyout for them.

What about Cyclone.TV subscriptions purchased for the SDSU game?

The response I got from Cyclone TV:

Thanks for writing in. There are several issues in play here, one of them being that we do get a 12th game scheduled at some point during the season. If that is the case, there is a chance that the subscriptions from the SDSU game could get rolled into that.

This is all new to us and our administration and there are a lot of factors in play here. Once we start to hammer out those details, we’ll provide more on what is next. We’ve filed this email away and will be in touch as more information becomes available.

Thanks for your support of Cyclones.tv and Iowa State Athletics!
