Looks like Iowa state is playing to Akrons level and will keep this game close throught, giving me heartburn. :D

Definitely a sloppy start. Even though Zeb threw the ball behind him, Eaton needs to run the route past the sticks, not right at them.

I am amazed that receivers can't figure out how to get past the first down marker before turning for a catch. Specially that one, he was along the sideline next to the marker. It wasn't a great throw but it still should've been a first down.

It’s not the receivers fault. The coaches don’t want them to take the extra step. Eaton just ran the play.

If they're timing routes, that one extra step throws off the timing of the play and the receiver isn't at the spot he's supposed to be at to catch the ball.
