I know there are a lot of haters, and some of them are justified, but my experience with the MLM I'm involved with has been nothing but positive.
* I would not be doing what I do if I had not been recruited into it by a person who was motivated by his desire to build commissions paid to him. (I know, I know, the evil profit motive!)
*The company I buy products from has been around for 50 years and has a half a dozen different product lines. They pioneered an entire new market segment (white acrylic roof coatings) and have inspired dozens of knockoff products from competitors who insist their products are "just as good as Conklin's".
*We provide a service for the public, commercial roofing, using products that are available only if you "sign up" which sounds scary and stuff, but on the flip side is a way of making sure that you come to the hands on installation training and know what proper workmanship looks like.
There's no magic, no free money, nothing like that. If you don't put in the time you will fail. However, I get to be my own boss, I make a very good living for my family in a 9 month work year, and I get to support a quality team of employees. Oh, and Conklin gives us a free trip to Cancun every year, so there's that.
