Lard is the only credible post defender we have. When he plays well, our ceiling is at it's highest. So yes, Wiggs is our best player then Shayock, we he commits to defense. Hal would be 4th for me

12-6 while respectable isn't going to get it done. To get where I think we may have to be (14-4), i think we are going to have to steal one now.

I really didn't ever think we had a chance to win the conference. Just not that much is known about this team. They've had more "letdowns" than good wins. Arizona, Iowa, and Drake vs KU and OkSt

Holy **** were 3 games in. And at that point I don’t even think we’re 1/2 way.
I never really got to the point this season where I didn’t think Kansas is going to win it. I still think KU wins the conference. Every single year we think this is finally the year KU doesn’t win it and it never is. It’s only January, KU will figure it out.
I agree that 14-4 is where you need to shoot to win the conference. Though to get there with a loss like this one. This is the type of game KU has continually pulled out to win the league over the last 14 years. We haven't shown the consistency away from home that we would need to be a true contender (Zona, Iowa, Drake, Baylor). Honestly, even with the win Okie Lite wasn't a great performance. We are a good team with a bright future, but we aren't ready to compete for the whole thing yet. I see this as pretty similar to football actually. Enjoy the ride and trust the process.
Drake took us to the wire and could have easily beat us if a few things fall their way. I think he was talking about how inconsistent we played in those games away from Hilton.
People need to pump the brakes on this team. There will be a lot of up's/down's this year but this team is a 7 or 8 in the NCAA tourney. We are relying heavily on freshmen and that is going to cause some bumps throughout the season.
