Unless he got sick after they left.

Listen I like Conditt and he's going to be good, but he wouldn't have been the difference.

So how would you have stopped all the KU layups nearly every single possession in the 2nd half? Our guards couldn't stop their penetration, so then what?

Or do you just throw your hands up and give up? We had no inside presence whatsoever, and I don't blame Jacobson for that, he's not a rim protector.

I'm proud of the way we played, but it's frustrating when we could have easily won that thing. We couldn't stop all their layups and we couldn't hit our FT's. That was ball game.

Why, because it's true?

Prohm is a decent coach, but when you don't have Solo, Lard is on the bench all night in foul trouble, Jacobson was also dealing with foul trouble.... then you have to try something else. Conditt looked good enough to give us minutes... or maybe throw Talley out there and see if he can give you something?

But Prohm just seems set on only playing his 7 or 8 guys and that's it.... even if there's foul trouble, injury, etc. I don't get it.

Well at least you’re back to being you.

You should feel bad for this. But you never do

I wonder what Talley
It trying to ***** about lineups or anything but what happened to Talley? I really liked his game and we could have used his driving ability this game. I don’t remember him being too bad on defense either. Idk. It’s been awhile since I’ve seen him play meaningful minutes.
He must really be on Prohm’s s*** list. I remember some good play from him last year.

The number 1 reason that he gets called for a lot of the fouls is because he really only wants to block shots with his left hand.

Most of his fouls come as the primary defender (as you said), and as he is attempting to challenge shots. Like his 5th tonight...... he was in good position but as he went to challenge with his left hand, his right stayed on the shooter throughout. That's a foul all day long --and quite frankly one that we'd be complaining about--, but looks harmless because he doesn't contact with the left.

The adjustment there is small and doable. If he would just show his off hand on the move instead of using his off forearm for leverage he'd be fine.

I don't think Lard listens particularly well to the coaching he gets folks. He hasn't learned yet, so not sure when he will? He will try to block literally every shot no matter what, even if he has 4 fouls. He doesn't seem to have a clue.

Overrated team that lucked into Virginia losing. I'm confident we'll beat them in Manhattan.

I’m not overly confident but we certainly can win there. They have a couple guys that maximize their experience in the way they put pressure on a defense and on refs.

ISU still throwing up some really bad tough shots. I think Lard just has that reputation of being a fouler and the refs throw a few extra ones his way for good measure.

I think he would have been a pretty bad matchup this game. He wouldn't have had any better chance of keep guys in front of him than anyone else on our team did.

Well that didn't take long.

This is the weakest Kansas team in recent memory. We've already beaten them and Texas Tech. I see no reason for us not to win the conference title this year.

Not sure Wigginton fits this type of style. Prohm recruited him to match Prohmball ala-Murray State, but this team is running more of a Hoiball offense. Seems to need to be the star and is forcing a ton. Obviously the three at the end was big and I agree, Haliburton probably should have run to the corner but how do you not look at a pass in such a big moment? I do not feel confident in either him or Lard at this point - part of that may be due to needing to get back into things but the body language is still not great from those two. Doesn't seem like easy situations for Prohm to deal with.

You said you would never play Conditt over Wig. For what energy Conditt does bring he shouldn't be playing much over 15 min a night as a frosh anyway.

What's your point here? Other than trying to say Wigginton shouldn't be playing.

Like it or not, he's one of the best players on the team. That's not going to change. He had a bad night. He had a good game two days ago. I hope he has a better game this Saturday.

I thought Prohm showed his coaching chops tonight, regardless of outcome. Compared to when KU played in Hilton, we rebounded much better and sagged off the right guys. I was afraid we wouldn't adjust much after winning by 17, but good coaches see process, not results. In addition, we mixed in 1-3-1/2-3 zone that was out-of-character. That was a great adjustment to give KU (and the league) a different look. ISU has also gone for 2 for 1's on multiple occasions recently. In-bounding looked decent too, even if the passer didn't always execute the best decision. Wish we had used a timeout during that run where we couldn't stop anyone, but hey, hindsight's 20/20.

It was a well-officiated and hard-fought game, and winning on the road is hard. I think we're the better team, and hopefully the standings reflect that in the end.

Lard doesn’t move his feet, so he often is even or trailing on a dribble drive. This almost always results in a foul on him. He needs to get better at playing defense with his feet and then the fouls will slow down

You have enough scorers on this team without Wig. Continue to reduce his minutes significantly until you see progress with him in playing team ball.

'One of the best players on the team' don't play like they are drunk in tonight's big game (the entirety of it tbh).
