I believe last year was this.

Donor prices up to $425
Sukup up to $750
Lower ends/non-donor up to $250
Upper ends/non-donor up to $175
Mobile pass up to $150

So a quick calculation show prices went up 14.34% (average of each level - 11.8%, 10.0%, 19.6%, 13.7%, 16.6%) and with 8 home games instead of 7, the number of home games went up 14.29%.

There are only 7 home games.

If you used the prices you quoted, those were from 2017.

Donation levels stayed the same and most ticket costs went up ~5%. 475 to 499 for 2019. Non donor general public season tickets were the biggest increase.

Are there 6 or 7 home games this year? That would be a pretty decent increase with only 6 games. Not sure this is the year I'll jump back in for season tickets.

7 home games. First 3 are at home and there are 2 bye weeks this year.

Do you actually think about the price per game? I only think about them as season tickets regardless of whether we have 6, 7, or even 8 games like this year.

For us it is yes and no. This is 95% of our "entertainment" budget for the year so we justify it that way. Just like good friends of ours have season tickets to the Broadway series at the Civic Center. That being said there will be a point that we will be priced out especially if we struggle to sell games that we can't go to.

Yes, I think about the price per game. When you are deciding between season tickets or buying tickets to some individual games it makes a difference. These are also bigger % increases on the cheapest tickets (newer endzone tickets).

This is the frustrating part for me as a season-ticket holder. Even now with some success it's really hard to make much money back on your tickets. By the time you get out of September games, the group of people I sit with always has tickets to sell due to family conflicts, etc. And it's really rare to get your money back. The only time I recall ever selling at full price was the September Kansas State game from a few years back when I knew a month in advance I couldn't be there and sold before the season even started. For the TCU game in 2017 we had tickets we literally couldn't sell at all.

Yup. I hope that changes because we are going to have conflicts with kids activities as our kids grow up but there were several games last October/November that we couldn't give away tickets to much less get any money for them.

That made sense years ago with mediocre football but I'm puzzled why it persists now. Our fan support outpaced the quality of the football product for years, so maybe it's just going to take a few years of sustained success in order to make that next jump in terms of ticket demand. Or maybe we've got a solid core of 55-60K attendance for games but it won't grow beyond that for the same reasons attendance is shrinking elsewhere in the country - ticket costs, concession prices, every game is on HDTV now, etc.

As you point out it is a combo of many things. Also how many people are going to consistently or even one off give up an entire Saturday. For those of us that live outside of the DSM area that is what is. Between travel time, game time and very little tailgating time it is easily a 10-12 hour day from leaving home to getting back. Hopefully this improves with further success and a growing alumni base.
