Will Prohm ever win a championship?

For sure, we should expect him to do something that only one coach has in our history.

What's your list of replacements? Who is going to come in here and win that championship? It's probably TJ.

I think you make my point with your statement. You obviously don't think a seasoned coach will come to ISU. Meanwhile, VA Tech, TN, Auburn, etc...(not exactly basketball schools) seem to be able to get them.

But I actually think Prohm does some things better then even Fred, and will probably learn and get better in time. His major flaw is he makes few if any in-game adjustments. And right now that is a big flaw.

That's right. I was wrong to think he was a good coach. He's garbage. Fire him.

I think you might be confusing good coaching with a good recruiter. Shaka Smart is a bad coach who can recruit talent, Chris Beard is a great coach who can win despite talent limitations. Which do you think Prohm is closer to?

I think you are the only person here calling for him to be fired.

You post a thread saying he'll never win a championship. I'm reading that he's the worst coach in the conference.

When you say those things, that means you think he should be fired. Or perhaps you just want to be unhappy.

Fire him!

His questionable losses in 2016 were a result of a young team?

All ISU teams have had questionable losses, we aren't Duke for christs sake. You guys are quick to freak out when we lose, but you dont give any credit for the challenges of this year, suspensions, injurys, young players. We are currently like a five seed for the tournament which would be up there for the best in recent years.

Take your blood pressure medicine and get off your computer

So this game is shooting, last game was rebounding, the game before was defense. This team always has an excuse. Facts are we got swept by baylor and tcu and are out of the conf running in a season where KU is not good. The only thing Steve Prohm's teams have consistently done is underachieve.

Oh FFS...

Wow, when teams lose games, there are reasons they lose? No way! The home losses were unexpected and disappointing, no one is arguing otherwise. The road wins at Texas Tech and K-State were unexpected and exhilarating. Somehow I wouldn't be surprised if you didn't make a peep after those victories.

TCU and Baylor will both likely make the tournament; shouldn't have lost to them at home, but they are not bad teams.

Perspective...

Yes. We’ll be in line for a 7 or 8 seed at worst probably, which is a historically good season for Iowa State.

Well, since we were projected as a 4 seed this morning that would take a pretty big collapse to finish as an 8. Thats inexcusable if you ask me.

The questionable losses are a result of having a young team, everybody needs to take a chill pill

..and on top of having a young team, having players out for a good portion of the season prior to Big 12 play. I think we all hoped that wouldn't matter, but it does. Teams figure things out with repetition and this team hasn't had the same opportunity as many others.

Who knows if a seasoned coach will come to Iowa State. But TJ has spent the past 3 years sucking up to Jamie. He'll be the next coach here. No ifs, ands or buts. Remember the last time we had to hire a coach? We were all told that TJ was the ONLY answer.

TJ is the man!

Are you on the Prohm payroll?

France put up a less vocal defense in 1940

Your boy has the job. JP loves how all of the coaches are a happy family and there's synergy in the department. Stevie P isn't going anywhere. He can entertain us for years with his Dickie V impression

Can't speak for anyone else, but I think it's tough to be overly critical of a coach who takes his team to the NCAA tournament, unless you are a KU, Duke, Kentucky, etc.

Nope. We should expect more. He should have won more his first year! For ****'s sake he got to play two double digit seeds to get to the sweet 16. Good coaches beat 2 number 1 seeds to get to the sweet 16. It doesn't count if you play well enough to earn a 4 seed in the tournament. You are a loser unless you beat the best teams to get to the Sweet 16.

I've just come to the right side, right? Fire him.
