Will Prohm ever win a championship?

Two teams with a better roster are playing right now in Lubbuck.

I'm going to be so pissed if Tech screws this up.
I really was not going to weigh in on this whole string until somebody said something that I completely disagree with. Tech does not have more talent but they are better coached and play with a lot more intensity. Beard certainly coaches with a lot more passion. A week or two ago someone on here rated the BB coaches in the Big 12 and had Beard close to the bottom. I don't agree with that at all. He has taken a team that is very limited offensively and has them winning with defense.

I just feel like Babb and Shayok have been in a funk for the past several games (yes, I know shayok had 20+ in one of those, and they are our leaders. We seem lost or a step behind on D half the time, and the possesions we do play great D we give up offensive rebounds, which is demoralizing

Your probably trolling on the Lard comment, but he didn't play any hoops all summer Prohm sent him to a wellness clinic to get his life straightened out before it went way off the rails. Then came back and earned some more time off with personal problems.
Prohm has put a lot of time in on Lard to give him the opportunity to be a better person, hopefully the better BB player will come in the rest of his career at ISU and after.

Lards timing was way off when he came back and couldn't be on the floor for 2 minutes with out a foul. I'm glad to see he is getting playing time and not just fouls hopefully the rest comes back over time even if it's next season.

Prohm trying to teach Lard “character” is the problem with this guy.

Winning is ALL that matters.

Pretty boy looks (Fred) or nice-guy act (Steve) are meaningless without REAL BIG 12 HARDWARE.

Yes. Prohm is teaching softness. THANK YOU.

Someone else agrees we need to get rid of this guy.

I don't know. Kansas is currently being thumped at Tech. This might be the purple cats year

Liked because if not us why not purple Kansas? That will tick the Beakers off more than any other team in the league

This.

Posters complain about our young team. Or our players are tired. Tech is younger and KU starts 4 freshman. Apparently we are the only team going through the grind.

Excuses and rationalizing.

So you'd say maybe Tech's players have toughness and can play defense?

Is that an aspect of a roster?

The last several weeks ISU has let an awful lot of guards get to the hoop...at some point it's more than just bad play.

That's not what I said or meant. I like our team and I overall like prohm. And I think we are struggling as a team in large part because I think babb and shayok have been struggling. Not the end of the world. Just hoping we close the year strong headed into the tourney

Exactly, ISU has accepted mediocrity ever since he got fired.

Pansy PC types who want to cry because our WINNING coach liked to party.

You will never catch Prohm kissing co-eds. Thats part of the problem. Pansy-ass Christian trying to build so-called character who doesnt give a rip about TITLES.

I like the spirit, but that didn't answer my question...

Who's your replacement coach.
Don't say TJ. Who's your answer?
We need to aim higher than the mediocrity of consistently making the tourney or winning a Big 12 tourney “title”

Any coach who cant win a real conf title by year 3 needs fired. Bottom line.

Our pansy fans wont let us hite a real coach like Eustachy. I would settle for Bill Self or Bruce Weber since the other 9 schools in our conference love mediocrity.

Firing mediocre coaches is the only way to achieve EXCELLENCE.

So apparently the last coach not named Eustachy to win the regular season title was Louis Menze back in 1945.

@jsb how many bottles of wine did you drink during and after the game to go on this tangent? It was an entertaining read.

I didn't read all of this, but I assume people are arguing for Fred. He's not coming back. Ever.

If we go to the sweet 16 no one will remember this. Have a beer.
