I don't know what your reference is with that statement. But sure, if he's cheap, good with administration, and a winner, that's all good for the program. If he's expensive, a cheater, always at ill will with his boss and losing that's not so good. Frank Martin was like that when he left K-State.

Oklahoma State is going to finish 9th or 10th in the conference this year. That doesn't mean he's a bad coach, but for you to say that he's done a better job than Prohm this season is just asinine.

One could just as easily say that Abdel took his own steps forward. We don't know the steps Abdel took on his own such as time, effort, and focus placed on ball-handling, shooting, lifting, and watching video. It's a package deal, either Prohm gets credit for both or for neither.

List includes number of seasons as HC at P6 conference level, with winning percentage at current Big 12 school. My rank takes those details into account, but also considers other factors (such as tournament appearances and performance; success at multiple shools).

You also said Fred would have gotten ISU to a Final Four and won a conference title but he tended to lose to bad teams and didn't do those things in 5 seasons.
