Where would you rank Prohm far as big 12 coaches go.

So if we can get the guy for a bargain price and he is buddy buddy with the AD then we're ahead of the game?
I don't know what your reference is with that statement. But sure, if he's cheap, good with administration, and a winner, that's all good for the program. If he's expensive, a cheater, always at ill will with his boss and losing that's not so good. Frank Martin was like that when he left K-State.

He’s done a lot more with less this season.

Oklahoma State is going to finish 9th or 10th in the conference this year. That doesn't mean he's a bad coach, but for you to say that he's done a better job than Prohm this season is just asinine.

And it's a good illustration of why I occasionally lose my own sh!t when I defend Prohm on here; half of the posters who hate him clearly don't know jack about basketball and write ridiculous crap like this.

You are so full of sh!t, and I'm tired of you insulting our intelligence.

Oh please, spare the lecture man, Boynton has only lost 2 more conference games than Prohm the last 2 years, also beat LSU in non-conf, all with worst talent Ive seen in quite some time, so quite acting like you are all offended when I said Prohm is on his level right now.

One could just as easily say that Abdel took his own steps forward. We don't know the steps Abdel took on his own such as time, effort, and focus placed on ball-handling, shooting, lifting, and watching video. It's a package deal, either Prohm gets credit for both or for neither.

One bought in, one didn't?

If the 99-00 team doesn't buy in, they have more losses like Drake, and Larry looks worse than he was.

Fred may have been able to alleviate some of the issues but lowering the bar to not even make players practice can't be good for the whole group.

My general ranking.

List includes number of seasons as HC at P6 conference level, with winning percentage at current Big 12 school. My rank takes those details into account, but also considers other factors (such as tournament appearances and performance; success at multiple shools).

1. Self (19) .820
2. Huggins (29) .644
3. Kruger (22) .609
4. Drew (16) .608
5. Dixon (16) .646
6. Weber (16) .628
7. Beard (3) .701
8. Prohm (4) .620
9. Smart (4) .508
10. Boynton (2) .492

Bottom 4 is affected somewhat by body of work compared to top of the league. Four of top 6 have at least one Final Four appearance, Shaka is only other, but all things considered that alone doesn’t elevate him (to me).

Edit: When I posted, I had swapped order among 4-6, so it isn't top 4 with FF, Weber was in my 4-5 slot initially.

Last 2 years, Boynton 11-23, Prohm 13-21, but yeah, everyone freak out and turn into snowflakes when anyone even tries to question if they are on the same level right now. Prohm doesn't even have a non-conf win the last 2 years anywhere close to LSU this year either.

It's obvious to anyone watching both of these teams that Boynton is getting better results with what he has to work with. OP asked to rank the Big 12 coaches, most people rank him 7-9 but god forbid anyone compare him to Boynton.

What does spewing out all of this emotionally-laced stuff mean for you then?

I just state my opinion and make rational conclusions based off the facts I normally present in my posts. I'm not getting all emotional, alot of you guys I swear are sitting by your computers in tears anytime someone talks bad about Prohm.

It means he’s insufferable.

Isn't this 'snowflake' thing directed toward people that are overly sensitive to benign situations, like freaking out about a college basketball team, over and over again, win or lose?

It's not the talking bad about Prohm thing...it's the acting like ISU is on some sort of blue-blood type of level and should just automatically be great all the time thing that's perplexing.

Certainly not tears of sadness--this **** is entertaining.

Because 1 coach is taking his team to the NCAA tournament 3 out of 4 years and the other coach hasnt sniffed it and is trending downward.

Im not expecting blue-blood status, just thought keeping it close against TCU and Texas shoudnt be too much to ask for. I guess I was mistaken.

You also said Fred would have gotten ISU to a Final Four and won a conference title but he tended to lose to bad teams and didn't do those things in 5 seasons.

Should be up 10 if we didnt have complete idiots out on the floor

Absolutely inexcusable mistake, I would bench NWB for the second half. Only a complete moron would shoot the ball with enough time left for the other team to score.

LOL!!! I don't claim to know it all, I do know that wasn't a smart basketball play. It could have ended up costing us big time, lucky for you guys it didnt.

So your opinion and "rational conclusion" void of any emotion is that NWB is a complete idiot and complete moron? And who is..........."you guys"? And why would an ISU fan say something like that to another ISU fan?
