Team quality is down in 3A this year and I might take Samake over everyone named above.

You mean 4a? 3 A is loaded with quality teams and Samake has really not done a ton considering his size. He is very raw and might end up a good player but when it comes to fouling he could give Cam lard a lesson.

Which is why Waukee loses every year. That coach is horrible. I have never been so confused on a high school coach. The he has major talent but likes to spread the ball around. Ok that's nice and all but when you have major talent, get them the ball. When you win the state tourney all will be forgave. North Head coach is very good about getting his best guy the ball every time down and making the offense go through him. He always has been good at that.

How many times did North get to state with Tyreke? BTW, the North coach resigned after this season.

Yeah I know. I think they made it once or twice with Tyreke. However, That's what they had man. That's it. It works sometimes and sometimes it does not work. I would rather have Ty with the ball then trying to win with players that are just not good.

Norwalk, Osky and Winterset are the mediocre fodder that teams like Pella, Harlan, Xavier, Glenwood, Heelan, Assumption, etc., etc. have just waylayed in the past. Not sure where those traditional powerhouses went this year. Odd.

They made it once when he was a sophomore.

The size of Norwalk won't let it get whipped at any sport anymore except girls basketball and that is because the high school womens coach is horrible at her job. Norwalk is I think the second biggest 3A school behind Pella now. I could be wrong. Pella is just lacking talent this year a little. Football was down for them and basketball has been down this year.

I was perplexed by the usage of Foster yesterday. He just played wing on the zone and for the most part stood still. It looked as though that was the plan too. They just went two wings, a high post and a short corner and swung the ball around a bunch. The kid has nice touch, but I don't think 25 feet from the hoop is where I would want him.

Norwalk is the 3rd largest 3A school. Newton is # 1, Dallas Center-Grimes is 2nd, and Norwalk is 3rd. Pella is 9th.

He was efficient against Ballard, however they were the # 8 seed. A step up on competition against Clear Lake and the results were different.

For the year, he has 504 field goal attempts, the next highest for Norwalk is 262.
Which of his opponents do you root for, and how badly did they lose to Norwalk?

I'd like to see Osky win tonight, but I'm not sure I have faith in them to get it done. It should be an exciting one.

Newton lost every game this season. But, they've always been trash in basketball.

In my opinion and probably everyone elses opinion. If Bowen is hitting tonight, Norwalk wins. If Bowen is off, Norwalk loses. I think it's that simple. Kind of like when you played Okie State the last few years. If Forte is hitting stupid shots, you are screwed. If you can stop or hold Forte down. You win.

The size of the school is not as important in the middle classes like it is for 1A and 4A where the differences are massive.
1A 15-159
2A 160-286
3A 293-660
4A 684-2202
