To all the ISU fans that are pissed off about this.

A) grow up and stop being petty
B) look on the bright side, this move hurts Iowa more than us. Plus we get to watch Fred beat Iowa 2-3 times a year.

From what I’ve been hearing from co workers this hiring pisses off Hoks fans more than Clones. I find pleasure in that.

I think everyone can feel how they want about it.

We will see how you feel when he starts beating us out for key recruits

Pretty indifferent to Fred at Nebraska. Not wanting him to fail, but not actively cheering for him either. Just kind of 'meh' for me.

It isn’t petty to be frustrated and hold it against him. It is an ethical issue and if he goes to Nebraska I will lose respect for him. Part of the recruiting issue we were told when he was here is that he wouldn’t lie to recruits about staying here. He said he hated recruiting and loved the NBA game more. Those are valid issues and I can respect that. Him going to Nebraska invalidates a lot of those claims and therefore makes him look like a liar or that we were mislead about him. He is still the Mayor at this point. If he goes to Nebraska then he loses that pedestal IMO.

If you are around 40 or older you lived a chunk of your life getting the crap kicked out of you by nebraska in football and ku in basketball. If you, as an Iowa State fan, don't hate these schools then you need to have your head examined.

nebraska and ku can suck it forever!!!!

Seeing that Prohm has pulled in the highest rated recruit seen at Iowa State. I’ll take our chances. Again that just the nature of the job too. Fred wasn’t the first and won’t be the last former coach we have recruiting battles with.

The day that ISU is losing recruits to the joke that is nebraska basketball is when Iowa State needs to do some soul-searching on even having a program.

We are on another level than those turds.

I think he still hates recruiting. If anything he will probably hire assistants to handle that for him. It will be interesting if he is as successful at Nebby as he was here. The transfer portal isn’t a hidden pipeline anymore, and many coaches has adapted his spread it out offense that he help promote.

I see your point. I guess I’m just worried about one recruit in particular
