Sucks I can’t root for him if he takes the NU job. I am curious to see what his strategy is for building up a program again. He caught lightening in a bottle here, you can’t just repeat that strategy.

He has a lot to sale personally, and for as terrible as Nebraska’s program is there are a few things they bring to the table, fans, facilities. Not unlike ISU football a few years ago (ducks).

True, I guess I’m just disappointed that people can’t wish success for a former alumni. Again I just find it childish and petty to wish failure on someone that revived our program and left to pursue a dream.

Everyone is entitled to their opinion though.
For me it's specifically Nebraska; I hate Nebraska. As long as it isn't Iowa, Nebraksa, or Kansas, I really don't care.

You going to be happy when he starts recruiting the same players we do?

Hey kid, you could go to Iowa State, a school with a little bit of tradition, most likely NCAA tournament appearances, possible Big 12 tournament title runs, a lot of time spent in the top 25, fans that adore you and sell out Hilton all the time or you could go to Lincoln, NE and have none of that.

I just don't get it, glad he's not in the big 12 but I sure won't be rooting for Nebraska. Seems like even Minnesota would have been a better landing spot.

I don’t think people should be worried about Nebraska and Hoiberg. Prohm could have a lot to build on after the tourney including a 1 and done and fingers crossed a deep run. Also Hoiberg and co focused a lot of time on MN and WI while Prohm recruits nationally.

I could be wrong, but I’m not overly worried about him poaching players. In his time here, he had what, three really good high school recruits? Niang, Morris and Thomas? And Thomas was the only one from a state we have a pipeline in, and he was a TJ guy through and through anyway.

I guess you can give him partial credit for Ejim, but he only kept him, didn’t recruit him.

Yeah, I’m not sure how to read his time here when it comes to high school recruits. Seemed to be on the cusp of bringing in blue chips but didn’t quite make it. But 2 nba players in his first(?) class ain’t bad.

I wonder what happens with the bigger recruits we were on if he publicly turns down the NBA.
