And easily dismissed. Some junior high level mean tweets aren’t going to prevent him from signing a raise. Don’t worry, Bama fans and media have said even worse about Johnson’s wife and son (on the roster). Cross that spot off the list.Any of our fans that tweet at him about that are straight up anuses.

The McD to Creighton move looked great, and that wasn’t even lateral. All I know is it's not the best look to have your coach leave you for a lateral move.

It happens. KU lost Roy to UNC, and that looked fine.

Yes. SMG is not hotter than JLH.Has anything of even remote fact been posted in this thread?
Rick Pitino or Dana Altman? Why not Phil Jackson or Pat Riley? Doc Rivers might be looking for a job, too.if Prohm leaves Jamie's first call should be to Rick Pitino or Dana Altman or someone with a lot of d1 experience
Otz will always be around and hopefully would have the chance to get more experience but making a splash with an experienced, successful coach (who probably wouldn't stay that long) would legitimize the program far more than another low-major guy
Maybe so, but getting a new coach every 5 years is not the key to success as a program. We greatly lucked out that Prohm has done as good as he has, but find me a good, but not blue blood program that goes through coaches like we do. it doesn't matter why they leave or if it is better for Iowa State short term. It is not good for the program long term. Since 1995, we have had 6 coaches. Six coaches in 23 years. I guess I should expect it by now, but it would be nice if someone actually wanted to coach here.
You want coaches that will be successful to stay, that’s true. But you’re counting 3 beneficial departures and a positive retirement in your 6. Only two coaches leaving in 23 years isn’t bad.Maybe so, but getting a new coach every 5 years is not the key to success as a program. Roy going from KU to UNC is a little different than someone going from Iowa State to Bama.
