I don’t really feel like fighting but prohm has beat two 12 seeds and a 13 seed with 4 NBA players and now three guys who are being mocked into the nba. And he started with quite the leg up on Fred

Now let me commiserate in peace. The bad guy needs to vent

When you coach the team to a great season, you’re going to play worse teams in the NCAA tournament.

He' more of a Prohm hater and troll but he may also truly love Hoiberg but I think he's just trying to poke aground and get reactions.

I am NOT a "Prohm hater". I am a "losing hater", and that loss to Ohio State has me REALLY REALLY pissed off. We had the personnel to beat Ohio State easily. Just imagine double-teaming Wesson with Lard and Jackobson, not for extended periods of time but only for a minute or two here and there, just long enough to get into Wesson's head and take away his confidence. Oh, well, we have 5 months t complain about, since it was an NCAA tournament loss and ended our season, and that is on Prohm.

And did anyone think Cael would turn a 2-time team national champ (1920s and 1950s) PSU into winners of 8 out of the last 9 team national championships?

The big difference is the hotbed that is Pennsylvania high school wrestling. Lincoln doesn’t have that

What Cheer, IA
This is exactly what I am convinced will happen. This is why I posted that "unofficial standard for Prohm" thread. Compared to ISU, Nebraska has NO tradition or history in basketball. Prohm should be able to be as successful here as Hoiberg is there, but I think Hoiberg will be much more successful there, and Prohm's supporters will make all sorts of excuses.

You need to pump the brakes on Fred being the next great thing. He was good at ISU but he never won a regular season title, averaged 10 losses a year and never got past the sweet 16. The NBA game is different than college but his Bulls teams looked poorly coached. He also never recruited the state of Iowa that well (granted there is rarely a lot of talent).

Calipari and Pitino are the only coaches that I can think of that came back to college and did great things, and they both took teams to the final four before jumping to the pros.

Compared to MOST schools Nebraska has no tradition or history in basketball.

You must be really pissed about UAB then...

I still don't understand the argument. We can't control who we play in the tournament, and we only played Little Rock because they upset 5-seeded Purdue. Going into the game I wasn't too worried, but also hoping we weren't going to be victim #2

Way up there

This. Besides, other than 4 seed UNC, Fred only beat a 9,7 and 14. That's a bit better but he was no giant killer.

Edit: UNC was a 6, so Fred beat a 6,7,9 and 14.

If Tamin Lipsey or Xavier Foster go to Nebraska I'd volunteer to take Fred's jersey down from the rafters and sent it to Nebby...

Its just a no win position unless Prohm beats him every year.

He fails and we have to seen a home town hero get fired again. He wins and Prohm doesn't. The noise for Prohm's head will be deafening
I'd be pissed if Lipsey goes, but if Foster goes I won't care even a little bit. I'll eat crow if I'm wrong but nothing about his game impresses me

It’s a selfish opinion. I understand that. On here if you don’t like Steve you aren’t a real fan. I’m sad bc we extended a coach I don’t believe is a good enough coach. And someone I revere just signed with Nebraska.

It’s a selfish opinion I know but I dont care.

Now bring on the “give up your tix, you’re not a real fan, etc.”

You're acting like Hoiberg was coach K or something. LOL. Prohm has accomplished just as much as your savior. Grow up child.

I don't think UNC was a 4 seed. We were a 3 seed that year, that means UNC was a 6.
