Hoiberg turned our program around and back into the NCAA tourney having coached just one season of college basketball. If he wants to stay at the college level, he will be an elite colegient coach in time, probably is already now. To deny it is denying reality. I hope Prohm becomes the same. This was the first season where it really dawned on me that he might not have what it takes to coach at the highest level due to his inability to adjust to the opposition. I hope it’s a growing moment for him and I’m end up being proven wrong.

I still don't understand the argument. We can't control who we play in the tournament, and we only played Little Rock because they upset 5-seeded Purdue. Going into the game I wasn't too worried, but also hoping we weren't going to be victim #2

If we have a really good regular season next year I would like to see us intentionally tank the last couple of games so that we drop a seed level or two, thereby forcing us to play a single digit seed in our first game, and more importantly mollifying Prohm's critics.

I already saw in one article this statement: "Hoiberg has also been attempting to recruit players to Nebraska since February, including at least one McDonald's All-American, sources say." I wonder who he is recruiting?
Actually, who would it be? Foster isn't a McDonalds All-American as far as I know

You need to pump the brakes on Fred being the next great thing. He was good at ISU but he never won a regular season title, averaged 10 losses a year and never got past the sweet 16. The NBA game is different than college but his Bulls teams looked poorly coached. He also never recruited the state of Iowa that well (granted there is rarely a lot of talent).

Calipari and Pitino are the only coaches that I can think of that came back to college and did great things, and they both took teams to the final four before jumping to the pros.
I disagree, Fred has a huge advantage because of his name and national media recognition.

We have some serious anxiety issues to believe that some kid from Ames who doesn't want to coach here can control our future. Go kick some ass coach and just win.
