Well, no Lewis for sure now, though I never thought that was going to happen anyway. Tucker is now the top of my wish list.

We should try something where we only post a transfer tweet if it actually involves Iowa State. I load this thread every time I see it at the top of the page hoping for actual news and I leave disappointed every time haha.
This 100%. People just like posting useless information for fun lol.

I agree this thread gets derailed but i enjoy tracking all transfers whether there’s direct link to ISU or not. I post most every kid that ISU could/should recruit when its first announced and then again when/if a visit is announced. I’m not going to post someone committing elsewhere unless ISU had connections (e.g. Kira Lewis staying at Bama after ISU had visited)

I know y'all want this to end because it, evidently, strikes too close to Ames, but here's an update. I'm sorry Matt Mooney is in the piece but I didn't write it.

The NCAA is considering a change to the graduate transfer rule, which currently lets players with an undergraduate degree transfer without sitting out a year and play at a new school using their final year of eligibility.

The new measure would strengthen the rule and put more of a focus on the student's academics. Colleges that accept graduate students would be required to give up a scholarship the next year if the transfer doesn't earn a degree within a year, according to The New York Times, meaning schools would essentially have to account for a scholarship on its roster for two seasons.

"I can tell you this much, I'm not going to finish mine in a year," Texas Tech guard Matt Mooney, who has taken advantage of the current graduate transfer rule, said. "It's a tough rule. I don't know how many graduate degrees finish in a year."

5 to play 5 with no sit out for any transfer getting traction.

I’m just so anxious for some good recruiting news haha. It’s been a really slow spring so far outside of Lard, THT and Wigginton leaving. My 3 favorite players to watch of course so I’m just really wanting to see how we replace them. You’re a good poster so keep doing what you do.

Yikes Fred

Poaching Cleveland state commits. This is one of the kids that was kicked off OSU for vandalizing cars. He also only avg 2.5 ppg at osu so it’s not like the “juice is worth the squeeze” with this kid

I bet Fred is quickly learning the transfer market isn’t going to be as easy as it was in 2010.

He was bad at Oklahoma State and got kicked off the team

Ok. Didn't want to google him and all of that. Fred has shown that he is good at taking guys who messed up at one school and succeeded at another. So he is probably going to take some sketchy guys and try it out. It's Nebraska, he is playing with house money. I mean it's the school where Lawrence Phillips rapped and beat a girl and still was declared eligible for the National Title game. The school that Thunder Collins the murderer attended. Win at all costs.

Well, I'm no expert on building a roster but it seems like you're saying that bad production + bad character = not good.

(I agree with someone else's comments: Fred is going to see that there's been a paradigm shift in the transfer market).
