He said a variation of the same thing to two different questions but this is what I used in this story.
“Playing close to home is something special, but it’s not going to be the reason why I choose a school over another,” Grill said. “(The deciding factors will be) just how I fit in with the team, how much I’m going to get to play pretty soon and just the relationships with the coaches. That’s probably the top three.”

This is the role I associate with this guy, I have no idea what his name in but know he's like actually starred in other movies.
Yeah Iowa has had a ton visits also. They got none. So if you like visits where we get runner up. Then that's great. However, Frenchy sounds like we are not in the lead. Grill is down to UNLV (Who we lose to every time regardless of the sketchy crap they do) Kansas State and Iowa State. We know Kansas State is closer to home and he has said he wants to be closer to home.
The new top 100 kid we just started recruiting and his former assistant just happens to live in the same state as him and is an assistant at Georgia. Which in my mind puts us behind them unless he just kind of dislikes Georgia.
The Johnson kid who is a transfer has worse numbers than Beverly. So Is the sky falling? No. Are things looking good? Not in my mind.
Grill specifically said that the fact Kansas State is in Kansas will have no bearing on his decision.
Yet, I am guessing if he likes both Universities and K State is closer. Might as well go with that. WE shall see.
The doom and gloom attitude from some posters on this board gets pretty old. Does Prohm have an uphill climb? Yeah, of course. But there's no reason to write it off and think the sky is currently falling before the chips even fall. Lot of minutes are leaving, to not think that isn't an incentive Prohm is laying out there for recruits is crazy. Let the man do his job before you burn him at the stakes.
Thanks, CW. Just like everyone else, I'm hopeful that we get a few more good players for this upcoming season. But, there are so many moving parts that who knows.
It is worth remembering that it's possible that incoming freshmen contribute and that current players actually improve from one year to the next. Some of us seem to think that this is inconceivable. I'm not suggesting this is all we should bank on, but no need for doomsday talk if we don't get a couple guys we really wanted this spring. If we struggle next year, we'll deal with it then, but why assume the worst?

Some people just aren't happy unless the sky is falling.
I wish they'd stick to religion and politics and leave college sports alone.
I hope you didn’t work the phones too hard to get this info.
Apparently the Cave is not big enough.
More like some read partly sunny/cloudy posts, and then meltdown thinking they’ve read a prognostication of a Class 5 hurricane. Like religion or politics, the herd wants to be outraged and offended. Some people just aren't happy unless the sky is falling.
