"The Burger" at Parlour in the North Loop in Minneapolis is the best burger I've ever had.

Ground Chuck, Ribeye, and Brisket, White American Cheese, on Egg Bun

You just beat me to it but that burger is good enough that it deserves back to back posts. Also, I prefer an Irish old fashioned or a dirty martini.

Shutout to NW IA. The bowling alley in Ida Grove used to put together an amazing burger. There was nothing fancy about it, it was just a massive cheeseburger that was always cooked perfectly.

I had the Impossible Burger bahn mi at Hell's Kitchen in downtown Minneapolis.

OMFG, it is the real deal in the hands of a skilled kitchen. Give it a try.

During my high school and early college days I put down a double. That easily knocked 5-10 years off my life.

Oh yea, you could hear your arteries clogging as you ate it. You had to smash the double down a bit to be able to eat it, no way a normal person could take a bite of the double! They also had amazing chicken strips, cheese balls and gizzards. Overall, they had great food for a great price. I haven't eaten there in probably at least 10 years since I was in high school.

My vote goes to the Rusty Duck in Dexter. They won the best burger in the state contest a few years back. They take the trimmings from their hand-cut steaks to make the burger. They cover it with melted cheese, peppers, onions, and mushrooms.

I haven't been there, but the same guys owned/operated a place in West Des Moines for a few years, BW Burgers. We only went there a few times in the 3 years they were open, but it was fantastic. Was sad to see it go.

After the Skirted Heifer, second best for me is Big Daddy's Burger Bar. I ate at one in Charlotte, but there are some in Tennessee and Colorado, too.

Ate at Smokin Hereford in Storm Lake last fall who won best burger in Iowa and have to say it was pretty damn tasty. Would love to go back again and try some of the bbq on their menu as some people at our table ordered bbq and it looked and smelled pretty tasty as well.

Around the Metro Barn Town Brewery has some pretty good burgers and the bonus is drinking their beer with it too.

I notice no one has mentioned Zombie Burger. I ate there one time, and was very disappointed. Super expensive and the burgers were pretty marginal.

Stella's in Iowa City has decent burgers, and tons of choices.
