i defintely think this thread is very pre-mature. i hope JT doesnt have to see the field this year and blow the redshirt, but if the offense is still anemic the rest of the year and if JT is as good as we hear i would like an open competition at QB for next year

There should be a cave-like place for horrible threads, and this one should be in it.

Though I will say that AA's accuracy left a bit to be desired last night. He was fairly consistently overthrowing his receivers. I also wonder if he tries to overpower balls into his receivers, and throws a somewhat "difficult" ball to catch sometimes, where a more finesse throw might be a better choice.

There is NO reason to pull him. He's going to be an outstanding QB.

The thread might be THAT far fetched. I would disagree strongly with pulling the redshirt just to get him some experience, but I believe it was Ben Bruns on the radio yesterday, that his gut was telling him that we would see Tiller this year whether Arnaud got hurt or not.

Actually, if you read the thread comment, it said IF AA gets hurt, or doesn't perform should Tiller play. No one here has given an answer to those questions, only attacked the poster.

1. When did we become like the pathetic pukeyes and their QB debacles????

2. I thought I was familiar with all the players and the different positions they played. I didn't realize Arnaud played defense!!! Man I'm embaressed..

3. We need negative rep back...

This is all just really stupid guys. The only way Tiller sees the field this year is if AA gets hurt.

well i think if its going to be for an extended period of time JT has to play.. we have that other QB (sorry i dont remember his name) if we need for a play or 2.

for what i hear JT is the next star for ISU... hes just not ready this season. it wouldnt surprise me if he is our starter next season as a redshirt freshman

Reread the intitial post. Not one word pertaining to injury in the one I read.
If AA doesn't perform, I say take off the Red Shirt and let's see Tiller's stuff. Next season is time for Iowa State to move to the next level. If AA is not the man to do it, then it's tiller-time.

OK, what SPECIFICALLY have you seen, in the Baylor game, that makes you think Arnaud can not get it done?

You weren't asking me, but the way he locked onto his receivers in Waco was disappointing. I'm also getting annoyed with him jumping up as he throws the ball when any defender gets near his legs.

I don't want to be misinterpreted, though. I really like Arnaud, and I think we will be fine at QB for the next couple of years.

I watched the game again today and he didn't have many receivers open and definately didn't see him locking in on anyone unless it was a quick drop where you don't generally go through progressions.

I watched the game at a bar, and I saw two specific times on replays where he locked on for 3-4 seconds. Let's be honest. Our entire team played awful last night, and Arnaud is no exception.
