For those with Amazon Prime the All or Nothing: Carolina Panthers 2018 season review was released today. 8 total episodes. Have watched the first couple of them and it's a pretty good watch thus far.

For those not familiar with it, it is kind of like Hard Knocks but if follows the team for the entire Regular Season instead of Training Camp.

My wife is a pediatric nurse. She says that spiral fractures in kids that young, 99% of the time are inflicted by someone. Its very rare that they just spiral fractured a bone by accident. It’s clear in tapes from Hill that he broke his kids arm. The NFL has dropped the ball once again. It’s sickening this piece of **** gets no suspension. I hope that piece of **** gets hit so hard his brain comes loose. He’s a woman beater and a child beater. ******* sickening.

I don't think it's clear - if it was then the prosecutor's offense would have filed charges and he'd have way bigger problems right now than resuming his playing career. FWIW, I think he either did break his kid's arm or had a hand in the incident one way or another. Once you have a DV charge on your record you lose benefit of the doubt. There's a reason that kid is in protective custody and not with either parent.

What I don't follow is the league's decision not to issue discipline when a guy with a history of domestic violence gets caught on tape verbally threatening a woman. "You need to be terrified of me too, b*tch"...what else could the intent of those words possibly have been other than to intimidate her? And when you let a guy off the hook for saying stuff like that, it only emboldens him to do it again.

It was good. I'm not even all that invested in the Carolina Panthers but it was a well-produced show. I think I like it a little better than Hard Knocks.

It's funny how we're almost a decade into Cam Newton's pro career and I still can't make up my mind if he's genuine or kind of a phony. I think he's way too up and down - like when things are going well he's all smiles and chatter, and when things get sideways he's off somewhere kind of pouting.

Very strange how Hill didn't get at least some kind of suspension out of this. Makes the Chiefs pick of WR Mecole Hardman look like a bit of a reach now. Hope he turns out to be more than a kick returner because the Chiefs had a lot more pressing needs in the secondary they could have drafted in the 2nd round.
Not really. The Chiefs can give Hill the Alex Smith-to-Patrick Mahomes treatment. If they are on the fence on giving Hill big money given his shaky past, present and potentially future they can let Hardman sit back and learn for a year then cut ties with Hill next summer and go forward with a younger, more affordable option.

Yeah, I think it was a good CYA move just in case the Hill thing went sideways, and now going forward if Hardman pans out they can put the franchise tag on Hill after the season and then either let him play with the tag or tag him and trade him like they did with Dee Ford. I guess Chris Jones will figure in somewhere there, too. Only one player can get the franchise tag and both he and Hill are scheduled to hit FA after the season.

Did they need more immediate help elsewhere other than at WR? Yeah, probably. But I can't blame them for thinking big picture either. They're loaded with weapons for Mahomes this year and potentially set up for the future if Hill moves on.

Assuming Hardman is worth the 2nd round pick hype I could definitely see them keeping him and moving Hill to someone for a decent pick. Probably won't get a first rounder because of that "history" but Hill is small and replies on speed. Not exactly someone I want to pay like $15-20M for. I would rather see them keep Jones.

If they do however keep Hill and Hardman both there is already a nickname for the Chiefs new offense: The Legion of Zoom.

You guys are making a big assumption that Hardman is going to be close to the same type of player that Hill already is. I hope he is because that gives the Chiefs some more options both this season and down the road but in the NFL there really isn't a sure thing until they step out on that field and prove it.

I'm still concerned about how they are going to cover the pass on defense as they didn't really add much in the secondary other than sign Mathieu. They did make some moves that may help get a better pass rush but CB is still a big weakness and secondary depth is still pretty thin. We saw last season that even scoring 40 points is not going to guarantee victory with that defense. Seemed like you could almost expect on 3rd down or in the red zone if the opponent threw the ball 50% chance or better of pass interference call on the Chiefs. Hopefully the change at Defensive Coordinator helps some of these problems out too.

Will be interesting to see how the run game plays out with Williams and Hyde too, would have loved to seen David Montgomery in a Chiefs uniform but figured RB was not a high priority in this draft.

Report that the Packers are releasing Mike Daniels. Cap casualty, plus his age doesn't help. But I'd defy you to find someone his size on the DL in the league who got more out of himself than he did.

Weird timing. You'd think that if they knew they were going to cut him they would have done it earlier in the offseason.

There was talk about this in the spring. I think Gutekunst has been trying to trade him with no takers. Too old, and his contract is too big.

That's fair, I suppose. Still kind of ****** to do it right before training camp but I'm guessing he'll land on his feet somewhere.

Pretty crazy that 30 is old in the NFL. (Mostly, anyway.) I feel bad for Daniels because he has given his heart and soul to the team (and to the game) and I'm sure he feels he's been given short shrift.

My nightmare is that Minny or Chicago picks him up and he makes my life miserable twice this season.

From a salary cap perspective I get it. It's the same reason they couldn't find a willing trade partner even though there will probably be plenty of teams interested now that they can get him at a lower price. Still sucks when your team cuts a guy who you know still has a little left in the tank. Makes sense in the long run but you just hope it doesn't come back to bite them in the short run.
